The EV JUmp! Guild RAR Training Contest 1-30 June

Thanks so much for these weekly updates ! It makes this whole contest so much more exciting and interactive - I love it :)

I've got a stick permanently fixed to my saddle, pointing over my horse's head with yellow apple dangling from it and it seems to be doing the trick just fine :D :D :D I also think that my motivational chat with my pony went very well :)

Pity, you don't take part in the contest, Fable ! I don't see why you should exclude yourself from participating in the next one. It's not like you get any advantage by being a club owner. After all its all about luck of stats/points/wins distribution.

I've also just noticed that Bexx is not taking part in our contest...what a pity...

@ Lenka - I shall have to get me one of those sticks! The reason why I didn't take part (as much as I LOVE a training contest!!) was because since I was the one to source the COntest Horses I didn't want to be accused of picking the best one (IE lowest NSS) in case I won something!

That being said ironically the horse I would have picked to enter was the Trake stally that no one wanted anyway so I am keeping him for my own herd now! 

Also re Bexx unfortunately for some reason when I went to send them the horses their account was locked. I tried everyday for the first week then stopped as it was unlikely for them to be able to catch up with their horses. Hope everything is ok in RL.

Oh, well, talking about low nss: my horsie has the lowest nss of them all and yet he was struggling terribly during the first week, being the bottom one in almost every category.... [until we had that talk ;) ]

As we head into the final week its too close to call a winner. We have a change of leaders across 3 of the categories which I admit I am surprised to see! I had no idea how close things would become.

A special mention to Mouse's fab stallion Bergamot who went from forgotten (my bad!) horse to announcing his arrival in a BIG way by leading the Points Earned category.

Lenka's "stick" method is still paying off as SuperJumper extends their lead in the Stats division and now sneaks into the lead for the Rosette division as well.

Olympea's Edenn is still proving to be a money earning machine, extending its lead in the Prize Money Earned category.

Oh, this is so exciting I almost wish it wasn't the last week. I'm going to miss the competition fever when it finishes :D

I am genuinely sad to be posting this because it means the contest is over and it's been fun to see everyone getting into the spirit of the contest, judging by the feedback I have received.

STATS & ROSETTE CATEGORY WINNER - SuperJumper Trained by Lenka
I would like to extend my admiration for Lenka for a remarkable determination following Wk1s initial results. A change in regime saw this GV pull its feathers up and bound into 2nd place by Wk 2. It was all over by Wk 3 as he had decided he could fly and has headed the leaderboard ever since.

And if ever a horse was so well named, I have yet to see it :D

MOST POINTS CATEGORY WINNER - Bergamot Trained by Mouse
I have been taught a valuable lesson by this fabulous Andalusian stallion as I missed him off completely from the lists in Wk 1 and he came a respectable 5th for Wk 2. Then just to show me up he went on to head the leaderboard through Wks 3 & 4 to take the win. I shall miss you most of all Bergamot :)

MOST MONEY EARNED CATEGORY WINNER - Edenn Trained by Olympea
I really love this GV mares colour and have a soft spot for her too! From a midfield position of 5th in Wk1 she decided she wanted all the money and has lead this category since week 2. Congratulations Edenn.

All Prizes will be paid out ASAP.

I would also like to thank EVERYONE who took part and participation prizes will also be winging their way to you soon. The contest wouldn't have been possible without you all. This is why I love EV; its community spirit! You should all be very proud of yourselves :D

Big fat THANK YOU to Fable for hosting such fantastic contest. I had heaps of fun thanks to weekly updates and possibility to interact throughout the course of competition !
