The Silver Brumby

#220506 Posted on 2020-04-08 13:57:19

Hi!

I want to buy the books by Elyne Mitchell and I thought they were only 3 or 4, and I´m finding a lot of titles! Also I´ve seen there´s some kind of compilation, 2 volumes with 3 books each one, which makes a total of 6 books, but it looks like there are more books on the series. So... I am now a bit confused. Can anyone help me? I´d love to get all the books and read them in order but don´t know where to start!

I know about the Silver Brumby because when I was a child I saw the cartoon! I absolutely loved it. My best friend and I played for ours with our little plastic horses. I still remember which character were each one! I knew about the books not so long ago, and I saw the movie yesterday.

Thanks!

Not totally related to your question but I have been many times to the parts of the high country where these books are set. The author does a fantastic job of capturing the feelings, noises and sites of the area. It's amazing. Enjoy the books.

On another side note, the mare that plays Thowra in the movie died very recently. Like, in the last week or two recently.

oh that is sad tas, I hadn't heard about that. The last thing I heard was about the original house of Elyne Mitchell receiving damage from those horrible fires over the last summer.

So sad ...

I noticed the horseshoes the "wild" horses were wearing but I didn´t noticed Thowra was a mare!
