The Pairing *Rp*

Setting: A city an town that has done these methods since the age of time. Began having one girl be matched with boy and so on. At the age of 18-20 the society sends the twins in the household to the ceremony to be matched with their match an then go live together in a small condo an start a family by a year. Will you be one that fits to the society or one that breaks every single rule. 

It begins with everyone getting ready to go to the Oakfront building. A large building that has chairs set up, a large screen in the front to project the pairings names. All the girls meet with Director Marcel and all the guys with Director Stone. After the wedding everyone gets shuttled together in a bus to go to a hotel owned by the directors to live in. At the hotel is the fine of the fine, with room service, a pool and multiple accommodations to please. Will some of the girls become friends? An become close or resist the whole thing?

Ashley Foxx

I sigh as I make my way to the Oakfront building. My nerves raging and my heart almost jumping out of my chest. The rebel side of me wonders what would happen if I didn't show up, or I fought the whole process. I sigh and fix my hair and make sure I'm looking somewhat presentable. Since when have I cared about how I look? I realize my nerves are going crazy. I sigh and try to collect myself but it fails. I'm so nervous I can't feel my hands collect legs. 

James Foxx
I make my way to the building with Ashely in front of me. We haven't said a word to each other. We're both too nervous to talk. Ashley is really nervous, she's really not doing well. I walk to her and lay a hand on her shoulder. "Calm down sis, it'll be fine," I say trying my best to calm her. She offers me a light smile but picks up her pace leaving me behind her once more. 

Illidan & Ida

Illidan and his twin sister Ida, begin their day getting ready in their joined bathroom together. Brushing their teeth side-by-side and fixing their hair. They both remained silent for the most part until Ida broke the silence. "Are you nervous Ill? At all?" she asked, her voice sounding unsure of this whole arrangement.

Illidan shrugged his shoulders as he pulled his hair into a ponytail with one braid on each side kind of viking style. Most people comment he looks like a fantasy viking but since he didn't have the muscle as a viking would they tend to go with him resembling an elf instead. "I'm not too concerned about it. I try not to think about it too much honestly, because I trust the directors will pair us in a fair way and to our best benefit."

"What do you mean?" Ida asked.

"I mean, the directors have files on us. They know what we do for a living if we work, they know almost everything about us from things in our file, from things their told about us. They'll pair us with who they see fits the best. Who our best match is. So, say there is a list of us. They'll take that list, run the numbers on best possible match, and pair those people together. I don't hear many people complaining about who they were matched with, do you?" He asked.

"All the time..." She said raising an eyebrow at him as he finished his hair.

"It'll be fine sis, let's just leave it in the directors hands. I know you believe people should choose who they want to be with, but look how bad that went for people. Since they started doing this the divorce rates have declined. If we don't do this, it would look bad on us," he said with a slight frown and turned to her. "We can figure out how to be happy with these people after we get paired. Try not to think too much, I know you overthink things. Take it one step at a time and be mentally in the present and you'll be fine."

Ida frowned and hugged him tight, burying her face in his chest. "I am worried I'm not ready to be a mom...I mean, we're to be married and have a family in a year..."

Illidan hugged her back and held her tight, kissing the top of her head. "It'll be okay. Things will happen when they need to."

Illidan and Ida had finally arrived to the Oakfront building trying to find where they need to go. Once inside they see the chairs lined up in front of a large projector screen and looked at each other before hesitantly taking a seat. Assuming they will part ways with their directors after everyone arrives and an introduction course, etc.

Ophelia and Basil

Ophelia and Basil made there way into the Oakfront building. Both of them had gotten up early that day, but for different reasons. Ophelia had woken up at the crack of dawn to meditate and prepare herself and her mind for today. Basil hadn't slept all night due to nerves, so when Ophelia got up, he got up to. Ophelia hadn't minded him moving around in the background of her meditation. She never did. They may have been wildly different personlity wise, but they were family. They got along and really understood eachother. They rarely fought.
They entered the Oakfront building. Ophelia glanced over at a pair of twins already seated and took a seat a fair distance away. Basil waved and smiled shyly at them before following his sister.

Lyra

Lyra ran her hand through her freshly straightened hair, still hot to the touch. She sighed, she wasn't ready for marriage or love, but she was going to have to do it if she wanted to stay out of trouble. Lyra hated being in trouble, she always did her best to stay out of it, but somehow always manged to get into lots of it. Of course, her brother Jackson was perfect. Never disappointing their parents. Ever. Lyra wondered if maybe this could work. Could you really be randomly matched with your soul mate. Lyra doubted she would actually fall in love with this boy, but she could at least marry him for the sake of not disappointing her mother. Jackson was clearly excited and ready for this and Lyra wondered why it was he was, when she was so clearly not.

Jackson and Lyra

Jackson took Lyra's hand. "We got this." He told her as she gave him a faint smile. He had this more like Lyra thought to herself. Together they climbed out of the back of the car arriving at the Oakfront building. In less than an hour Lyra would know who the man she was forced to spend eternity with, and Jackson would know the woman he was going to woo for the rest of his life. He couldn't have been more excited. Jackson pulled Lyra in for a big hug, "Hey I'll see you in just a little while and we can spend time together at the hotel okay? Don't worry, I'll be here every step of the way." He told her and with that they parted their way to go find their directors.

Ashely Foxx
Other people show up and I start to feel myself calm down a little. James seems to be just as calm as ever as we stand side by side waiting for more people to arrive. I run a hand through my hair and sigh loudly. "Just relax Ash, it'll be alright"James says and I nod trying my hardest to believe him. I just can't seem to put it through my head that it will be okay. I mean is this really what I want? It isn't, not really but there isn't much I can do. It's too late to rebel now. James puts his hand on my shoulder and offers me a smile and I try my best to give him one back. It doesn't work out, instead of giving him a smile I give him a frown. "I'm trying James, who knew I would be afraid of this"I say laughing a little. He laughs and shakes his head. "Better question is who knew you would be afraid of anything"he replies before turning his attention some place else. Leaving the two of us in silence and allowing his words to linger in my mind. Does he really think I'm fearless? 


James Foxx
Me and Ashely stand there waiting for others to arrive. Not to long and people start showing up. I can see Ashley's shoulders relax and I can visabaly tell she's calming a little. I'm trying my best to calm her down as best I can but it's not really something I'm used to doing. I can't believe she's actually showing fear like this. I stand by her and she seems to appreciate my attempts to calm her down even though they don't seem to work the way I wish they would. "I'm trying James, who knew I would be afraid of this"she says and tries to laugh. I laugh, trying to make light of the situation. "Better question is who knew you would be afraid of anything"I smirk. I try to give her back her spunkyness and bravery because right now we both need it. Seeing her this way as made me nervous if I'm honest.

Cora 

The morning had started off as any other, except for this was no regular morning at all. Cora knew exactly what today was about. Today was the matching ceremony to be paired with a man and expected to start a family. In the bathroom an blinking her light blue eyes that were sparkling with unshed tears due to the anxiety sparking up inside of her. Ohhh how this was not something she was looking foreword to by any means. Standing still as she looked over the pretentious dress she was in already. The knocking on the door with the low rumbling voice of her twin brother made, her turn to unlock the door an immediately latch onto her safety anchor. “Colton...I-I don’t wanna be married to some stranger I hardly know....” the panic making her stutter more as she gripped onto him tighter. Listening to his soothing words as she nodded once before hearing the call of their parents downstairs. Cora, sniffling once as she walked out to the car to sit in the back beside her brother. Staying silent the entire ride till they reached the Oakland building to enter into. Making her way inside and keeping one step behind Colton when he blue eyes landed on the girls section and the boys section. Turning to hug onto her brother once before, making her way to sit near the back. 

Colton

The entire night he hadn’t slept, tossing and turning over the protruding thought of who his match was. When his mother came to knock on the door this morning, Colton was already up and dressed in a black suit that his father picked out for him. The director’s couldn’t be wrong could they? Swallowing down a heavy lump already accumulating in his throat as he opened his bedroom to walk to the bathroom. Knocking once then stepping back to see his twin sister looking so vulnerable and afraid. “C-Cora.....sweetheart it’s okay....sis I know your afraid but besides we’ll all be at the same hotel...I’ll be with you every step of the way....I’ll beat the guys head in if he messes with you.” Colton offering up the best reassurance he could before his parents started calling them to leave. Following after his sister to the car and gently intertwining one hand with her’s. “It’s okay Sis....I’m here.” Nodding once and blinking his dark blue eyes as the car finally came to a stop in front of the building. Automatically taking the lead as he walked into the building to see the two sections. Colton, grunting once as a smaller body latched onto him tightly. “Cora.....it’s gonna be alright....I’ll see you after this okay? With my new wife and your new husband?” Asking the question gently as he pushed his sister gently to walk to her area before sitting down in the back. 

Director Marcel and Director Stone

A taller blonde woman accompanied by a shorter and stockier man made there way out onto the stage. Director Marcel taking the lead and reaching out to tap the microphone. “Everyone hear me? Testing testing....one...two....three.” Raising her voice as she looked out into the ground of the girls on one side and the guys on the other. “Today is matching day and we couldn’t be more happier than what today will bring. Today’s ceremony is a time honored tradition that must be followed through on. So with that being said al the girls will come with me and all the guys will follow my husband to the rooms to get ready. “Cause let’s face it girls most of you need a serious makeover.” Scoffing once as she exited off the stage with her and her husband both standing on opposite sides of the room to indicate where to go to.
