Foal training question

#219332 Posted on 2020-03-20 05:25:47

Hi! Soes it make any difference if I choose one training or another one? I mean, sometimes I can choose lunging, trailer loading, raod training... Is this important or not?

I believe if you do a variety of training throughout their foal years it gives a higher stat outcome when picking their discipline. Im not 100% sure though

I've been wondering the same thing actually! ^_^
I try to switch it up and pick another one every day, but I'm quite unorganised haha. Also don't really have the discipline or whatnot to train one in the same one and switch the other one up for two weeks to test it lol.

Have got the feeling it's a percentage of their own stats they're getting added up. So the higher the foals' stats, the higher he'll get added at 100% training as well, don't think that had anything to do with the switching up training.

Foal stat boosts are dependant on base stats and % of foal training when it matures, there is also a small boost for training variety. Best practice is to do a different training each day- I usually go in order of the list for each day and pick a random duplicate for the first year.

You can read the full news post that explains how it works here: Foal Training!

Much like Maple, I will start at the top of the list and go down each day and then for age 1, I will choose the top choice 'lunging' for the first 2 days of training for that year, then once it hits 5 days til the horse ages, I will go down the list. :) I used to just choose random training but I like to do it in order now!
