Random Inquiries

#217374 Posted on 2020-01-15 01:54:06

I seem to have a lot of questions these days about the game, so I decided to make this thread for all inquiries for everyone to use. That way, we don't have to make individual threads for a single question.

Right. To my current question; what do ruby shards do? I have them in my inventory but I can't get rid of them and I can't for the life of me remember what they are.

The ruby shards are a Valentine's Day event thing - I believe the event comes around every February, and that five ruby shards equal one ruby heart, which is the currency for the Valentine's event :) (Did I get that all right? XP)
Hope I helped! ♥

The person above is correct. If you have any left over after the event, they will be placed in your inventory. You use the shards once the event comes around again.

Excellent. Thank you.

Next question:: Is it better to have a herd with all the same specialty, or is it better to specialize each horse in the event corresponding with the highest stats? I have Tennessee Walkers, but most of them have differing stats. Should I retrain some so they all show in the same event, or should I just go with what they're already geared toward?

This is a great thread idea, it's already proving how useful it is!

@Mouse I feel like this depends what your personal goals are for your lines. At the moment the market is kinda skewed so it's really up to the player IMHO. I personally have all my hearts split into the same speciality. So my TB's are racing, my QH's are western, my Akhal's are dressage, etc. Back when (maybe 2014?) I had a solid heard of TB's that specialized in everything, I had a heard for racing, western, strength, and showjumping, but that was when I could make a profit, my OCD was not as bad, and the market was better so it was easy for me to make a profit on horses that weren't in their stereotypical speciality, if that makes sense? Sometimes I feel I explain things quite odd so if you have any questions on what I said go for it :D Glad to see a serious breeder back!

Are there any other seasonal/holiday items like there are for Christmas and Valentine's Day?
