Is there a way?

Hi guys. Recently I've been wondering... Is there still a possibility to breed a 0 non-spec stat horse without at least 1 parent with 0 non-spec stats? I heard that it changed a while ago and now you can't actually make stats smaller than parents have, I just need to be sure. I'll appreciate any information about that :)

I don't think so because every time I've bred a horse, the ability was always high. I've never noticed a foal being greater than their sire and dam though. Like if a mare has 1200 non specialty stats and the sire has 1100 I've never seen a foal with higher than 1101 stats. They are usually a little smaller than both parents.

Yep, you can't breed lower than the parent’s lowest stat in an area. Unfortunately it takes some luck to get the lowest possible stat number from a parent if the other parent has a higher number in the area.

Yes, it is possible to breed down non-specialty stats.

the breeding formula averages the stats of the parents and rounds down. So if You had a pair of horses with NSS of 10/10/15 (total 35) and 11/11/14 (total 36) the foal would have 10/10/14 (total 34). As you can guess, it’s VERY slow going to decrease stats and requires careful pairing of even/odd numbers, but it can be done:

Here’s a link to another discussion about it:

I know it is possible to breed it down, but I'm talking about breeding it to 0. What if parents will have exactly the same ns stats? Like 1/1/1 and 1/1/1. The calculator says the foal will have 1/1/1 as well, and my breeding results shows it's legit. I just wanna make sure, cause I have one stallion with 0 ns stats and I'm wondering if I should keep him locked to breed him when it's possible.

I dont think so.. I have bred many of my horses with 0 nss to horses with like 1.. in the same area.. always get 1.. no 0s.. so I dont think its possible to get 0s in the nss areas anymore.. once upon a time, in the old version.. we were able to do so.. but doesnt seem to work out that way now.. pffft...

Tried this pairing just now.. stallion nss 1/2/2 .. mare nss  1/2/2  foal born with 1/2/2 nss.. so not getting any 0s

new foal 1/2/2

again.. another pairing with both parents having the same nss 1/2/2.. foal born with 1/2/2 nss

new foal nss 1/2/2

and another breeding.. sire 1/2/2, mare 1/2/2 nss.. foal= 1/2/2 nss

new foal 1/2/2

breeding a horse with 0 nss in an area with a horse that has 1 nss in that area should, theoretically and according to the breeding calculator, produce a foal with 0 nss in that area.

two horses they are both 1/1/1 will produce 1/1/1 foals because the average of (1+1)/2 is 1. the trick is to pair an even number with an odd number.
