Culling?

#202154 Posted on 2019-04-09 17:02:35

I was always told that to cull a horse it takes 5 days of no food/water. It seems like most of the horses I cull don't die for 6-7 days though. What am I missing?

According to the Help Guide, I quote, " Your horse can die if you don't feed them for 9 days."

You get a notification on the 7th day of no food then the horse dies on the 9th day. However, I have culled a fair few horses that have taken 10 to 14 days to die due to the fact that some horses waters are not "reset" every day, so it seems the count down to when a horse actually dies doesn't start till both food and water needs are not filled.

Culled horses taking 2 weeks to die is SUPER annoying. Especially if you are a bit OCD like myself. My friend made a bug report that you can check out HERE about the water not being reset daily.

Water isn't supposed to reset daily though, it's supposed to last 2-3 days (think it's 2). I don't have a problem culling horses on my spare, they take about 5 days to die from total lack of care, but I've not paid much attention. I only get the notification when they've gone 3 days without being fed, then two days after they'll pass on.

I think maybe the help section might be a carry over from precode? Or just not right.

I think they may die quicker at around 5 days if you put them in the riding school for 10 hours daily without food/water though have not checked how long they last without exercise/food/water.
