Remember me?

Gaia disappears and then returns... disappears and then returns.... disappears and then returns.

Can I just say life is insane? And right when I think I have 5 minutes to say "hello" to my EV family, BOOM! Life!

So how is Gaia? Well I'm good. I feel like I'm at a standstill in my life where I honestly just don't know what I want to be when I grow up... and yet here I am, 27 years old. That makes me feel a bit like a failure, but I don't want to stop searching for that "dream job" until I find it... I'm just not sure what that dream job actually is. I am finding myself torn in 2 directions, both requiring a bit more of school. Option A: Registered Dental Assistant and Option B: Human Resources. The Dental Assistant position would take me 5 months to qualify for while getting my Human Resources degree would take 1.5 years, but pays substantially more. Decisions decisions decisions.

Don't grow up, kiddos... it's a TRAP!

What about mini Gaia? Oh my goodness my nugget is 8.5 months old. WHY?! Someone tell mini Gaia to stop growing up so fast! Seriously. She is rolling in both directions, sitting up unassisted, trying SO hard to crawl (I'm positive it'll be any day now), has 4 teeth (all on the bottom lmao), and baby babbles all the time. I love my nugget. She also has a cranial helmet that she wears 23 hours a day to help reshape her head due to the soft spot from her getting stuck during delivery.

What about Gaia's fur-baby? Oh, he's good! He still doesn't like mini Gaia but I'm hopefully it'll eventually happen. He's coming up on 5 years old and still thinks he's a lapdog despite being nearly 70lbs. I love my big hairball.

So how are YOU all? I'm positive there are many of y'all that haven't met me yet, despite the fact that I'm a Moderator (apparently a crappy one for always being MIA). So please feel free to introduce yourselves to me or shoot me a message to say hi! And for those who I do know, what's been going on in your world?

And here are some random pictures of my two babies for your viewing pleasures :)

I remember you Gaia! :] nice to see you're doing well. this is Native Pride(NPR) I decided to go back to my original account and use my real life hobby name I made for my soap/animal totem business. I know what you mean with coming back and going and coming back lol I do that often too. I wish I could get back into the art again but I hadn't really had the time to. Things have been hectic and I'm trying to find my dream job too, but something realistic enough that can support me and my husband. I was doing my home health CNA work but they laid me off because of my weight restrictions from being pregnant. Now I'm unemployed....

So cute!!!! ♥ Both your mini me and the puppers is adorable!!!

My nieces had to wear cranium helmets for 4 months because their heads weren't shaped right and their ears were out of place because of how they were situated in the womb. :) It's more common than people seem to think for a baby to wear a cranium helmet. :)

*waves* hi lovies!

Yes, FG, I definitely think the helmets are much more common than people realize. I’ve had a few unwanted comments out in public about it but she seems to be adjusting well with it. She’s had it for about a month now and will get it off shortly before her first birthday in March.

Hi. Glad to hear things are going well with you albeit in a hectic way. I was wondering where you'd got to!

Kids do grow up fast as you are finding out! I wouldn't worry about any comments re the helmet people are mostly just ignorant of the fact its quite common as Feathered Gold mentioned. Also I like what I assume is a unicorn outfit (4th pic)!

The furbaby is probably still feeling put out at the arrival of the nugget but you'd think he'd get used to the idea by 8.5 months! :) That being said of my 2 nugget producing friends, one had her pooch come around after about 6months after a lot of work/training while the other one didnt so it had to be rehomed with her sister. Every dog is different in their ability to deal with the sudden refocus of their owners attention (unintentional of course) to this new noise emitting thing in what they consider their territory.

Re the job - First of all you are NOT a failure. You have a wonderful nugget for a start! Dont put too much pressure on yourself as I personally am not sure the dream job exists as such but ultimately you have to do what you will enjoy more in the longterm seeing as we do spend a lot of our lives at work! There's nothing worse than having to grind away day in day out in a job you don't like. Financial pressures aside of course coz not everyone has a choice in the matter.

PS I am 35 and STILL dunno what I want to be when I grow up. And don't believe I ever will!
