Ok I might be showing my age here but the biggest girl band - of all time in the history of girlbands people! - The Spice Girls are only playing my hometown next June. We have waited 25 years for this moment (as they never got any further up near us than Manchester/Leeds) and as the tickets were always sold out (due to these being pre internet days of ordering tickets so easy!!) as you had to camp out at venues or be stuck in a queue on the phone line to the venue box office. Kids today dunno they are born. Now you can book tix for a gig anywhere in the globe if you want to!!

Now though the tickets are soooo expensive - even more than Beyonce (another I thought would never play my craphole of a home town!). I cant even get my head around that. I wouldnt have thought many could charge more than her but here we are. Broke but undetered. We just HAVE to be there and be heck we WILL be there!!! #GirlPower #FriendshipNeverEnds

I can relate...

Rammstein is playing here in July next year,  and the tickets are crazy expensive. I'm used to underground concerts with very affordable tickets. Yesterday we saw 3 bands (pretty big names in their genre) in one evening for less than half the price of one Rammstein ticket. 

And money is extremely tight since we are in the middle of a big renovation on our house. I'm thinking about selling my kidney.

@Feline - yeah it sucks to be poor & I know what you mean about certain groups/bands being expensive. We were at a festival with 8 bands this summer & it cost no where near these potential tickets. I admit they were old bands but still famous enough back in the day! :)  Mind you it doesnt help we literally spent our 2019 "entertainment" budget 2 weeks ago on various upcoming local theatre plays when usually we only see music gigs. Curses for us broadening our cultural horizons, though have to say that wouldnt have happened if we'd known the Girls were coming.
