[ADDED] *Reward for old horses

I have no idea if it's already added or not, cause non of my horses died yet. So if it's already in the game please let me know :D

Anyway, what about adding some rewards for horses that died of old age? If a horse would be deceased after turning 21 years old the owner would be awarded for a "good care" or something like this. It would be something random. I will show you some example of what I have in mind:
60% chance for 5 stacks of random treat (bags, crates or bunches), 1 stack of Sugar Cubes, 500 EVD or random tack box.
20% chance for Hay Cubes.
15% chance for 10000 EVD.
3% chance for Peppermints.
1% chance for random background available from Credit Shop.
1% chance for 1 EVC.

This is just an example, we can discuss those rewards and their chances :)

I believe this would encourage some people to take care of unwanted horses.

I like the premise so I Support, but I'm not sure if it would encourage culling or make hoarding worse. 

Why would it make it worse? :)

I do support this, I do believe it won’t make a difference in culling or hoarding however - those who cull horses do so because they don’t fit their believed needs on the game.

Carin Ravensdale - I wasn't sure where or not some people would start hoarding just to get the rewards.

rhine - I know a hoarder's gonna hoard and a culler's gonna cull, but I wonder how this might effect peoples choices one way or the other; if at all.

Maybe this could actually help with the glutted horse market? 

I  support & agree with rhine. As I diligently care for my show pixels for 21wks etc it would be a bit nicer if you got a little reward for all your hard work since the horse probably hasnt made you a profit but cost you money during those 21 plus wks!! Not that I have my herds for profit but still a little something would be nice :)

 In genral cant see how someone would treat/take the time to care for a horse for 21 weeks if they were the cull type person. It would be a waste of resources so I cant see any real negatives to this... I wish the non supports would say why - Im so curious now!!

I don’t support this because i don’t agree with culling horses for any reason. I tried that way of playing EV, and it hurt my heart, even though they are just pixel horses.
However, i do like the idea of a little reward for raising a horse to 22 years of age.

I don't really think this suggestion should be made to encourage unwanted horses.
Typically culling means just letting a horse die without any care.

I do support for the people that actually work to do better with their show horses, so maybe the better show results = better rewards. Or for those in riding school, stat gain?
While the showing situation is not the best right now, this game was made for show horses so I'm more partial for the show results idea. Of course, you'll only get these rewards if they die naturally of old age.

<sup>Support only if horse retires/dies naturally of old age and not through neglect. 

@Remrem: Show results are kind of fickle to base rewards off I think, you kinda get an average towards the end and it'd still be skewed to precode horse breeders. Not sure how there would be a differentiation between a show horse and a school horse for the system either. Personally I'd go for randomness regardless of end of life status or a chance of better rewards for the higher stat/"better" horse, but I still feel like it's kinda gearing towards a certain way of raising horses and would be a skewed system again. So I think randomness regardless of the horse would be just fine, with a super rare chance of higher value rewards as the original suggestion says. 

@Odella: People already hoard hundreds of desirable horses on their accounts, previously from precode or postcode sales, and also because horses that people usually want are often super hard to come by (imo). I really doubt it'd encourage more hoarding just for the rewards heh. Especially since the horse would have to die of old age to even get a reward? Even caring for 50 horses can be time consuming without the use of credit items. So I don't think there'll be much impact when people cull loads of undesirable horses or dump them in rescue already.</sup>

@RemRem oh my gosh, you're right! I totally misunderstood the meaning of word "cull"! I meant an award for taking care of a horse to make them live long and that possibly would encourage some people to buy older unwanted horses just to take care of them. That mistake was sooo silly of me xD

@maple Fair enough, that makes sense. Basing it off stats could lead to people simply relying on hay cubes but show stats would exclude school horses. I was just hoping to find a way to increase the chances of better prizes the greater your horses are, but with the current communities and system, random is for the best.

I support this, but I think it would be better for the awards to be random rather than based on points or stats. I feel like it might help the current market by making older horses more desirable and worthwhile, too.
