Looking for Advice on Stud prices!

#189607 Posted on 2018-09-18 11:00:48

Hi friends! I've been playing for awhile now and although I've gotten the hang of it (mostly) I am looking for some advice re: pricing studs!

I have three Arabian studs and three Appaloosa studs that I will eventually offer up for private stud, once they reach R1 (or likely above). But I have NO idea how to price them. They are all foundation, great colors. Suggestions sincerely appreciated!

I would probably only be offering 2-3 outside stud services depending on the horse.

Arabians:
Lethal Industry - Bay Rabicano - Foundation
King Alistair - Flaxen Chestnut Sabino - Foundation
Hinterland - Flaxen Chestnut - Foundation

Appaloosas:
Thrillseeker - Amber Cream Champagne Few Spot - Foundation Western
Magister Alexius - Cremello Snowcap - Foundation Western
Elgar'nan - Classic Cream Champagne Dun Snowcap - Foundation Endurance

Try searching for similar studs in the directories and pricing your studs a bit cheaper. Usually it works

I price my studs like this:

(10k/100 stats +/- a few k for good/bad colour, confo or other selling points) divided by 2

This means that essentially you are buying half the horse. 10k/100 stats is (or was?) a generally agreed on price c:
