Breeding Partners?

#186923 Posted on 2018-08-26 14:21:04

I was wondering if anyone would be up for being breeding partners?
As sometimes I find it extremely hard to find decent broodmares and studs for the breeds I have.

What do I breed and what are my breeding rules for them?

GV's

Mostly foundation lines, with the occasional lined horse
Horses have the Crcr or CrCr gene
Driving Bred
I am breeding for good stats and conformation (low no specific stats)

Paints

I have just restarted them
All foundation or close enough to foundation lines
Western bred
I am breeding for good stats and conformation (low no specific stats)

Appaloosas

Brand new
All foundation lines
Trying to breed for interesting colours and patterns
Western Bred
I am breeding for good stats and conformation (low no specific stats)

Trakes

Foundation lines mostly
Show Jumping Bred
I am breeding for good stats and conformation (low no specific stats)
Might add in the GG gene but not decided

Being a breeding partner basically means I will have a quick and easy access list to all the people who have similar goals to me :)

I'd be happy to partner up with you for Trakes! I have these current foundies that are SJ, then I have these guys who I am waiting to hit age 13 so they can be partnered up with these girls I purchased off another member. When my original foundation herd hits 19 I will lock them, age the other two groups up to 19, and then unlock all of them and breed, but if you ever find yourself needing a stud or brood and ANY of them meet what you need I'd be happy to unlock them.

Thank you so much. :) All my new mares wont be bred until they are older and all my others (who have been bred) will now be following the same rule.

Unfortunately the only same breed that we have is Gypsy Vanners and mine are all being shown and bred for Western.

Have you looked into joining clubs that correlate with what you are doing? That is also a good way to find members with similar interests.

The Western Horse Society is just taking off so you could always join there and maybe in the future connect with fellow appy and paint breeders :)

I have a few Foundation Gypsies and a few lined, they are mostly being trained in driving. I can't offer them for stud or brood just yet because I'm halfway through level 4, but I am training them daily and working with them to get some higher stats. You can take a peek at my horses and me know if there's anything you might be interested in breeding to in the future. :)

Sounds like we're doing similar work with Gypsy Vanners! I'm not super worried about color at this point, but I'm breeding for high driving-focused stats and conformation.
