I apologize that the last design was perceived as simple. I actually really liked how it turned out, as it is one of my favorite natural horse colors on EV. However, I understand that it did lack markings, mostly because they subtracted from the over all design. For most of my designs on here, excluding the un-naturals and semi-naturals, I've been striving for realism. Which means natural colors and basic markings, since sadly in real life the majority of horses do not have exotic markings or coats.

For my next couple of designs, I will be using a coat color generator. Hopefully this will help to add variety.

Guys, I'm pretty sure even though horse isn't specified in the rules, this is meant for horses considering it's a horse game, and we mainly have horse characters...

Also, Michaella, it's recommended that you use fullbody lines. Half a design isn't much.

I didn't see any of that in the rules, so that's what I came up with. If Arty says different then I won't make non horse characters again if I come back to this thread.

I know it's not specified, but this is a horse game after all.

Just realized that it's called Horse Design Trade, isn't it?

And Magnolia, again...please add markings or something to your designs so they're not just a solid colored horse. Take some time to make it unique.

It's clearly a horse simulated game but that hasn't stopped players from creating their own mystical art breed and selling them or dog characters and people have even appreciated dog art because no one actually does it often. I highly doubt they would make it a rule we can't do any art other than horse, that's strict and I would understand if Arty made it a rule only horses can be entered in this forum game but so far she hasn't only that we make designs that take no less than 15 minutes.

This game is called HORSE Design Trade. Horse. Thanks for taking the time to write out your input though. I was mostly calling out the fact you made half a design. No need to argue, just move on.

Regardless of what I did with my design or seemed to miss the "horse" in the name I'm trying to point out the fact that it seems like you are seriously nit picking on mutiple things in this forum. Now I'll move on.

Why wasn't I called out then for putting up something other than a horse?

Just sayin' doesn't make sense...

Also..I thought this thread wasn't about getting characters? Just improving one's art...just with the added benefit of new characters...

I've told people not to post half a design in the past...I'm not nit-picking. EVERYTHING I've said has been previously mentioned or warned.
Arty gave a few of us permission to mod this game while she's not around, me included. I'm just trying to keep it running smoothly, Michaella, you don't need to get argumentative.

And Buck, I hadn't taken notice of your character until well after it had been claimed, so I ignored it. My original comment on the topic was also to just keep the non-horses to a minimum anyway.

It's really not running all that smoothly if you do try to limit too much though. I would have rather been told, even after the fact that horse designs only. Or you know, to at least use them sparingly. Fair is fair, right?

The rules probably should be updated or something, or have said something about non equine characters if it was going to be such an issue.

I agree, half a design shouldn't be accepted, but, I don't think, unless it's expressly stated otherwise, that non-equine characters should be completely condemned either, which is what your posts come off as.

Modding this game is a necessary evil, I get that, but, when you mod to the point that you're limiting people too much like that, then it really just ends up destroying the fun in it, and subsequently will kill the thread, which, sadly, seems to be dying a slow painful death as it is right now =/

The rules as they stand are pretty simple and straightforward and people still seem have a problem with them.

Just don't post half a design. That's not completely fair, although it may not be a rule... it's courtesy.
Don't whip something together super fast to be a character hoarder, which some people want to try to do and is some of the reason this thread's not totally going smoothly.

Those are the only two things I've really seen posted about in the past... 10-ish pages. Not super limiting really. Keeping it mostly horses is probably best given the title, even if it's not a rule.

Just take a deep breath, move on. There was no need for an argument in the first place. Just take the comments with a grain of salt, move forward, don't fight. I still don't think that a half a design is fair to anyone else in this thread.

If I had a working tablet I'd pujt a design up and move it forward but I don't so.

Please keep it civilized, no need for everyone to fight over a design or call people out on it. It was not stated in the rules that this is a horse only trade game. This is a warning, just continue playing your game and be respectful to other players.
