Horse Design Trade [Game]

That's what I was thinking Magnolia.

Claiming before someone posts is good for two things - one, to keep the game going so we don't have to wait an hour between entries, and two, because it's fun to be surprised.

This isn't to claim designs you like. It's for fun. I like getting surprise designs. That's one thing Arty and a few of us have discussed, and it's probably not going to change. How is it not fair? If you like the rest of someone's designs, claim one before they post. You'll probably like that one too. And the hour rule is still in place, not like you're waiting forever.

I kind of like implementing that you can't claim one artist twice in a row, though. Some people do keep getting every entry of certain artists and putting out designs that are >15 minute jobs...

For the record, I don't like being favored, I'm gonna start putting out the ugliest horses imaginable if that keeps up > n >

Besides..you don't HAVE to keep and use them. Just sayin'.

Zell, I understand what you're saying, although I would be sad if someone claimed my design just to keep the game going and threw it in the gutter :( I guess the rule about not being able to claim an artist's work twice in a row would be a 50/50 compromise, I just don't like that people can claim work without there even being work to claim, but it doesn't give us all the chance to be "surprised" because then again, if one person claimed an artist's work , another could come and claim the same artist's work before we got the chance to, especially members who aren't on as often. Again, I'm not trying to argue AT ALL, I just am discussing something about this that kind of doesn't tickle my fancy :)

Anywho...

I don't think the rules necessarily need to change. I was simply joking. Back to the game?

Okay, Airstruck, it is easier to post a query in the thread than it is to message me because I'm not always on and the only thing that would make it an argument is heated tempers.

Now, Wey, I'm NOT changing it to where you can't claim until art is posted because if you're actually playing this game the way it's supposed to be played then you aren't playing it for the characters and I'm sorry to say that some designs aren't actually good and I would never use them so there's no point in me making the effort if I'm just going to give them away later or let them gather dust. This is for practice anyways so you shouldn't really get attached to the designs you're making anyways unless it took you 1 hr+

I know it isn't for claiming just art that you like, and really not for claiming art you like anyway. I'm fine if the rules staying the same and I wasn't trying to make a deal about it in the first place. I was simply stating my thoughts...

and I'm simply sharing mine that having to wait until someone else posted the design would make people more biased about whether or not to claim :)
