People need to lighten up!

Hi,

Okay, I was in the grocery store yesterday and I was feeling a bit mischievous. My mom and I was in the produce section and I went over to the cauliflower and said “ Look mom, Ghost Broccoli” This other lady standing on my right, went off on a tenget. She was yelling “ That’s not ghost broccoli, you idiot, what is the matter with you.” I just walk away. 

Wow! That is super rude! I can't believe someone would do that. Although we have to understand that maybe she just had a bad day.

"Having a bad day" is not an excuse for being rude. That kind of thinking just enables such behavior. She's an adult; she should know how to keep her nose out of other people's business. At least you got a good story out of it!

@Luminescent and @Syrien🐇 I was thinking the same thing, but I was just having a bit of fun. I didn’t want to start trouble, I don’t like to confront people who are strangers, I will lock horns with my family. 

My mom laugh at my joke and then was furious with that women, she didn’t say anything until we got home. 
She told my dad.

I completely understand that and there is no excuse for her being rude. I was just stating that she could have been having a bad day. Sometimes people get so worked up with what is going on in their own lives that they let out their anger on other people. It's very unfortunate.

Ah, fun times. I still remember how some chick in her 40s cut the line at the bakery one morning right as I was about to order, much to the confusion of the bakery clerk. I politely told the chick she was cutting the line and it was my turn upon which she looked at me, huffed and puffed and said "I'll be late if I don't order now". 

Like I give a crap. Seriously, it's a bakery frequented almost entirely by commuters like her and me, so we're all in varying degrees of being late if we mess up enough, so I told her that frankly I don't see why that should be my problem as I was on my way as well. She then refused to look at me and tried placing her order again.

That was the moment I lectured her, publicly, about manners and how she can stick her "being late" where the sun doesn't shine and she was getting royally annoyed. I then placed my order (the clerk was pretty amused at that point) and wished her a good day and that maybe she'd remember some of her manners how being brought up the right way and remembering it goes a long way.

Now I can't say for sure of course but I'll hope in the future maybe she remember that incident with me, sometimes all those people really need and deserve is being called out on their bullcrap behaviour.

That is so bizarre. People are weird.
