GG??

I have a few foundation chinco's with gene GG and am unsure what to do with them as they were originally for breeding.  There have colouring which I like including smoky, flaxen & SbSb all with confo 54-59.  Is it still worth the effort of breeding or would they be better as riding school employees - I would hate to cull them.

Wouldn't that depend on your personal breeding goals....?

Grey can be bred out. With homozygous grey it may take a little longer but it is not impossible. Just depends on you as the breeder if that is something you are willing to have to work at.

Another thought is a Grey tweak to remove the grey completely?

But again, totally up to you on whether to cull them or not. But if it was me personally (and I am a color breeder), I would keep them and breed out the grey.

Thanks Evermore - I didn't know you could remove grey with the tweaks - not having used them. I'll go buy one now
