Do you own a dog?!

#182634 Posted on 2018-08-06 08:39:55

Thank you! I’m a sighthound girl. Revan is the only non-sighthound I’ve ever owned. They’re great dogs if you want a dog you don’t do much with. -laughs- their preferred speed is sleep. Perfect for me, a avid gamer. They might run in the yard like 10 min max then sleep three days. They’re also by far the most snuggly and loving of all the sighthounds. Very personable and outgoing. They love meeting more people to pet them.

We have two dogs right now.

Our reddish fox dog, Meeko,  is a mutt...a mix of a few things I'm sure but that they are I am not sure. Don't really care. We always have a lot of people guessing but it doesn't make a difference to me. We got him when he was a little over a year old because his owner was pregnant and wanted to re-home him for some reason(I feel it was his naughty behaviors they didn't tell us about but whatever). He is about 2 1/2 now.   Kylo is the white dog. he is a little over 2. We got him at 8 weeks old and he is a dogo argentino/pit mix. Sweetest dog in the world, my kids adore him and he adores them. Couldn't imagine life without him.

Oh and in the background on the wall you see pictures of a border collie. Hands down the best dog ever. He was my best friend and my soulmate. I got him when I was 17 and he left this world when I was 29. He watched me grow up and have babies of my own. He was there through all of my ups and downs. He had advanced heart failure. The day I said goodbye to him I think I cried more than I ever have before or since in my life. Talking about him or thinking about him still breaks my heart :(  Also we got Kylo one year to the day after Rex passed.

Everyone's dogs are so unique and different  :)

My hubby and I have 4 dogs. All rescues!

Kody, Golden Retriever mix that I adopted when I was in high school. He is my canine soul mate!

Rambo, my "pound special." Came from a local pound. We think he is a Malamute mix as he is fairly large (over 100 pounds). He is my destructo dog.

Badger, my Heeler mix. I rescued him from a horrible owner who got him from a pound/rescue. Who knows what kind of life he has had but he is my boy.

And Nebula, our latest addition. We have had her for over half a year. She was roaming on my folks' ranch with a pack of dogs. I "caught" her using a slip leash when I got her close enough to me with food as she was hungry. She is a Pit Bull mix and is terrified of people. We are working on her socialization. However she is a total sweetheart. Was super easy to train for having no good interactions with humans before we took her in.

The whole gang. Oh, did I say we have 4 dogs? I meant 4 and a half as our cat, Starlord, thinks he is one of them (he is a rescue, too!).   :p
