why do so many players dislike grey horses?

I don't mind gray, but prefer to not have a completely gray herd. For a while there, I had almost all gray arabians and it was boring. :P I don't mind a gray here or there, but sometimes there's just too much. :P

@ Noto the color applicator automatically removes grey and allows you to choose whatever color you want to replace it with; so you don't have to live with grey if you don't want to.

I used to really, really dislike greys (though never to the point of not buying a great horse just because it was grey). However the more I play this game the less I care about grey or white. I really hope that abbey does change the color/marking layers so that grey doesn't cover white markings because that makes me sad when the markings disappear. Though roXas is right that you get just go to the bottom of the page and read the markings; I just like to see them on the horse.

would like the greys more if they had assorted shades ie fleabitten, rose, steel, light etc...at least there'd be some variety in them lolz...gosh a rose grey arab would be lovely! lolz

I don´t really dislike greys, but as many other players said, I like to see color when breeding, so I try to avoid greys and whites.

I guess I'm in that few who doesn't care lol. I bred Halfies before the recode and after we loss liver chestnut all we had was chestnut so when I picked up another breed even getting a grey was great to me XD That being said, I'm one of those people that until I go over it a million times I don't really get it to click so me and genetics are pfft, so even if I wanted to kill the grey in my lines I wouldn't necessarily get there on purpose XD

i liked the variation of grey colors before the recode, but since grey is only prevalent in one breed that i do (arabians), and I really love both the final white arabian iamge and all the shades between black, bay, and chestnut while they're greying out, I have no problem at all with grey.

I also have a grey mustang mare whose 'boring' grey color covers up the fact that she is a double cream, double dun, double champagne, homozygous flaxen + silver, sabino roan. And since a lot of the mustang white patterns I used to love are now just meh, I actually like the fact that I can use grey to "cover them up" until either the breed art improves or I'm a high enough level to get individual images :)

I love to see grey/white thoroughbreds in real life. And so when I get a foal here or there that is grey on EV I don't mind. And I think it will add some delight and fun as I breed them later on having forgotten their original color. And since I barely breed for color, the mystery is just fine for me.
