Does breeding effect showing?

This is something I have always wondered as in real life a horse with successful show parents, is usually good at showing themselves (not always) 

So I was wondering if that applies on this game. 
For example if she sire has won lots of competitions could that indicate that the foal would be a good show prospect. or does none of that matter here?

showing does have a genetic component (in the form of inherited stats), but there is no ‘gene’ for good showing. A mare and stallion with high discipline stats and low non-discipline stats will both be great show horses and will produce foals with the same good stat spread and therefore showing potential.
