[Designs] You Design, I Buy! [Examples Added]

Since I only have two characters (Cato + Merel), I have an itch to buy more characters. I know, I know. It’s a problem; one I’m sure we all have faced before. But that— that problem— is not the focus of this.

I’ve decided to “host” a thing. This thing consists of me listing colors, markings, and add-ons that I like and then an artist picking a few things they like/want to do, which they’ll turn into a character design. Basically, you design it and I’ll buy it! 

(whelp, I hope this makes sense.)

So onto the things I like in characters...

Coat Colors

Natural Colors — anything from a bright bay to a soft grullo, anything besides really pale and faint coat colors such as cremello. 

Semi-natural Colors — is that seal brown or a brown coat with gold highlights? I like anything that can pass as natural, as well; just no highlight or rainbow colors.

Markings 

Face/Leg Markings — love, love white markings, especially irregular ones that cover just the head or half-a-leg, so on.

White Body Markings — tobiano, overo, sabino, splash, appy markings (blankets, spots, etc), I love them all! Though I tend to prefer those that aren’t excessive/cover the whole body (excluding splash, I do like homozygous splash which almost reaches the top-line). I’m crazy for irregular markings! White that only covers the head, white that only covers the body and not the head, go crazy/semi-natural!

Other — from roan to grease spots to brindle to chimera, I love it all and I definitely love it when it is minimally expressed! brindle only on the neck, muzzle/joint spots, so on.

Highlights —  considering different highlights  in the hair to speckles or stripes on the body, feel free to wander away from semi-natural and add different colors (gold, teal, pastel pink, etc). this also goes for eye color! 

Other

Build — I like light build horses, such as thoroughbreds, warmbloods, and sport horses! Lean like tekes are cool too. I also love medium builds, such as barock pintos (friesian x warmblood), which have little to full feathering. anything from full grown to foal lines are fine!

Add-ons — I like small add-ons such as jewelry (mainly piercings), things in the mane/tail (beads, flowers, etc), and tattoos! Scars, scales or gills, horns, fangs, or feathers, go crazy (if you want)!

Hopefully something has inspired you, made the creative juices flow! I’m willing to pay a lot of moolah (+50k-500k per design) for these designs and have no limit. And no fear, if I don’t like it (which I doubt), you are free to do whatever you want with it!

appaloosa markings — x (the foal, absolute favorite), x, x (both, more so chestnut one), x + x (minus the spots on the face)

face markings — x, x, x, x

other — x, x, x

Not sure if you'd be interested at all but I've been working with some mule lines I bought and came up with a pretty irregular design. Here. You didn't mention anything about liking mules but I figured I'd toss him out there. 

those lines are adorable! while the design is lovely and definitely unique, it's a little too white for me. thank you for showing me, though!

Of course! I might pop back in as I pop some more designs out. I was planning on selling it on DA if you passed so no worries! 

A silver black with unnatural teal highlights, an interesting face marking, and a little braid in the forelock. I made a chinchilla to keep it company, but you don't have to keep it. :3

Are you find with drawings on paper? (PS I'm experiencing with sharpies and pens, so they will be brighter. :3)
