What??

I got Auto Care from the Fountain, but there's an "upgrade horses" button under the how many horses need to be vetted, farriered, etc. Does anyone know what this is about?

That's from the new update! You just have to click that button in order to update horse's grades manually instead of the game automatically doing it for you. 

"* Horses now need to have their grade manually improved. We ran some tests with daily Progression and found that improving horse grades was the most server intensive action for the progression script to handle, leading to some timeouts that could explain occasional apparent progression failure. There is an Improve Horse Grades button on your horse overview, which will improve the grades in all horses at once, or optionally you can click the Improve button on an individual horse page."

Of course! Even if you don't show, as your horse's stats go up their grade will still go up so it's nice to check every once in a while. I don't show many of my horses either but I do still get a lot of grades going up through riding school.
