The Breyer Club Official Thread

#172108 Posted on 2018-05-28 12:19:50

This is the official thread for The Breyer Club. Home of club discussions and so forth. Please keep all comments friendly, thank you. :D

First topic I'd like to discuss is: what kinds of features and/or activities would everyone like to see implimented for the club?

EDIT: Ha just realized I was on my spare account. Luminescent here!

Hey! First off, I'd just like to say, Yay Champagne is the new club owner! XD

I was wondering if anyone had the new EZ to Spot model. I already have a pony in his mold that I love, but I was wondering if anyone could give me their honest opinion. XD

Thank you! :D

I haven't even seen any of the jumper ponies in person, but if I happen to come across EZ to Spot at the limited places that sell Breyers around here I'll let you know my opinion. Only jumpers I have are the stablemate and the vintage traditional.

I get why you're asking though. Last year for my birthday I almost got Nu Chex to Cash but when I saw him in person I wasn't impressed by the paint job on his eyes. I ended up getting Fantasia Del C and Gozosa instead (plus the American Pharoh stablemate).

I also could have gotten Banks Vanilla but her lips are funny and that turned me off the mold.

I'm back from my hiatus and I'm hoping that I can get this club back on it's feet now that I'm not so busy.

During my break I got some new horses though. I got a stablemate collection(9 horses plus a foal in the barn shaped display), Alba(TSC exclusive Clydesdale mare), 3 blind bag stablemates, traditional American Pharoah, Brookside Pink Magnum, a classic sized cutting horse/calf, a chestnut show jumper, Paint Me a Pepto, three bags of tiny horses(several brands) which included 5 stablemate foals and about 20 mini whinnies, and the best horse which is Simba du Pont de Tourney(2015 Breyerfest Celebration Model. 1 of 6,504 made).

Hey! I'm glad this club will be active again as I've yet to join.

Sounds like a really nice collection you have! I love Brookside, I think the mold is so cute and I love how they did the roan color on it. I used to have a quite a big collection that's since been packed away and with my mom. Recently though I went to the Supercali show in Solvang and picked up my first Breyer in maybe 12 years, Lyle Lovette's Smart and Shiney Celebration model for about 25 bucks, which was awesome!

I'm still looking for input into what members want in this club. Like contest ideas and such.

I have a two generation collection . My mom half gave her few horses to me and I get them entirely when she's gone. But our collection exceeds 100 pieces currently and will be growing quite a bit faster now that I'm employed and have a steady income.

OMG! Soo, joined this club! I think we could maybe do a contest like where you take a picture of your favorite model(or look one up), and we vote which one we like the best? Idk

Most of my models are old and retired. I sorta like the oldies XD But i do have a few newer ones too.

Thats my newest model i just got on sale!

My collection is not very big, i only have 15.

I guess i´ll do like a mini review for my models if anyone was wondering about getting any of these guys XD

I have Big Chex To Cash, i love his dappling!!!! He is a very gorgesous tan color, but it just not look like they tried that hard on his paint markings on his stomach.

Next is Hwin, Very, Very beautiful! The dapples, everywhere! I could not have wished for more dapples, they aren´t too much, but not too little. The dapples are just perfect. The mold makes this girl look sassy i personally like that XD  So, yea. I do not really have anything that i can think of bad with this model.

The Gypsy Vanner, he was my dream horse for 4 years! I always wanted him, but never could really save my money up to get him. I set some money aside, and was going to buy him, but my mom bought it for me! I love his mold. He looks like he is the leader of his herd, the man XD  They only thing i do not really like is that his hair comes out really far and it is hard to make halters for him and get them on. You cannot use purchased halters/bridles either.

The next one is an old Arabian gelding. Umm, i got this model from my cousin, and, it definitely is not one of my favorites.  Its coloring is not as bright as this, and it scratches VERY easily.

I grew up playing with this horse. It is absolutely amazing! There is nothing i can say bad about it, tho my cousin lost the jump :(

Umm, this one, ugh. I really do not like it. It is okay. I got it from my cousin as well. It is missing an ear and has pink marker on it :(

This is the Grullo pinto. I LOVE this dude! I want him so bad!!!! He is just gorgeous!

The rest of my models are the grey Selle-Francis, black caviar and foal, two stablemates, and a friendship foal.

Hi, when I found out about breyer, I was in shock!!! I currently own the wild blue book and model set, the pink unicorn with a rainbow main and tail, mini whinnies, and some stablemates. I also have a stablemate painting set, and the spirit riding free 3 horse painting set. I currently do not own any thing else, I hope to get a lot of breyers for Christmas though. I want sants to get me this years holiday horse, and I also hope to get EZ to Spot, and others beautiful breyer models!!! I also love Pink Magnum, for Christmas, I asked for all of the beautiful models, I hope I get them all!!!

I get the Holiday every year for my birthday(dec 19)! I can't wait to get this year's. This will now only be my 3rd. I have the 2015 and 2018 so far but plan to fill in the gaps myself over time. Some have gotten quite pricey so it will take some time.

I think just entering a picture of our favorite for a contest and maybe having admin or member votes would be good to pick the winner.
