Oh this is driving me insane

#171104 Posted on 2018-05-18 14:08:22

A while ago (I did post about it here somewhere I think...), I had this weird headache-type pain in my right eye. Then it turned into I was seeing black-yellowish dots in that eye as well. I was going to go to the eye doctor for a check up, but it went away so we called it off. It hasn't happened since then, at least until now.
I'm having that same pain in that same eye, except I can't move my eye without it hurting, it's extra sensitive to light, and (so far) I haven't had any black dots... hopefully that doesn't happen again. But tbh it's getting very annoying, as I've had headaches for four days straight now. I got this one this morning and it hasn't gone away at all. I kinda feel like trapping myself in a dark room, since brightness seems to make it hurt worse. Hagaidnson bksk

You should probably see an optometrist (or even a general practitioner doc) as soon as you can. Serious headaches and eye pain really shouldn't be ignored. If you wear corrective lenses (in particular contacts) I would definitely see the eye-doctor soon and stop using the contacts until you see him/her as contacts can often work as vectors serious eye infections.

I remember being told that sensitivity to light could indicate an infection? You really should see a medical professional asap, even if it is nothing it's better to check now than have to treat something even more expensive later down the line.

Ya, we're gonna get an appointment now. We dont really quickly jump into appointments like that, since normally we get a reply like, "oh you're fine." or "we cant really do anything about it" or "you need like five hundred medications" (when we really dont). So we normally wait it out until its a no brainer type thing lol.

Definitely go to an optometrist, and if something is up they will refer you to an ophthalmologist. I have had some serious eye problems with the blood vessels in my eyes and migraines, and was glad to get it sorted out (more or less) before it caused anything worse.

Chronic headaches and pain affect quality of life so badly, so I hope you can get in to see someone, or maybe (hopefully) you're already feeling better by now!

HI,

I would go see an eye doctor, hopefully it is nothing serious. I hope you are feeling better.
