AP Testing

I have AP testing next Wednesday and I'm kinda stressed about it because I have to write three essays in TWO HOURS AND FIFTEEN MINUTES. That's five minutes to look at each prompt and dissect and annotate, and fourty to write the actual essay and have it not suck. And then I have a multiple choice test that I don't remember how much time I have, but the multiple choice questions are difficult.

My AP Comp teacher told us to all wear grey for the testing bc one of the books we read, Brave New World (I highly recommend if you're ok with reading PG-13 material), had a color-coded hierarchy. The Alphas wore grey, Betas wore a purple/maroon color, Gammas wore green, Deltas wore khaki, and Epsilons wore black. And my teacher told us to not wear black bc Epsilons wear black and we're not epsilons, we're Alphas. Also in Brave New World, embryos are oxygen deprived and injected with alcohol to varying degrees according to their predetermined "group". And everyone looks the same. And some people are pink??? But the highest you can get is Alpha Plus and the lowest is Epsilon Minus Semi-Moron. 

If everyone's wearing grey then you should definitely go to that test wearing the most flamboyant multi-coloured outfit you own. Bonus points if there's sequins. Or rainbows. Be daring. :D

Good luck with the test. Spend a minute or two at the beginning figuring out how much time you have to allocate to each section, and also allocate a little bit of time for a general check of everything, which will help keep your stress levels down if you go over time for a section slightly. Stick to this time plan as closely as you can, even if it means your essay will be a bit rougher than you'd like. You can always come back at the end if you've got a bit of spare time. Better three rough essays than two well polished ones and in incomplete one. For the multiple choice, if you genuinely have no idea for a question just mark it and come back later when you've finished the rest of the questions. And if you still have no idea and you're out of time just guess instead of leaving it blank. Good luck!

I'd  definitely recommend analyzing the prompt- identifying what kind of essay it wants you to write, who your audience is, (if it doesnt say, the best thing is to assume the general public) and what you're writing about/why you're writing it. It helps a lot and I hope that I made sense, lol.
