What exactly makes a horses training level go up? I feel like my horses used to level up all the time while I did training and now it seems like I have not seen it happen in awhile.

As I recall, maximum training number is 5, then you get only stat boost points without further increasing the level :)

EDIT: Training level increases a bit every time you train your horse.
