Stats v Conformation ratings

#168468 Posted on 2018-04-25 01:17:38

Can anyone tell me if the conformation ratings play any part in the performance of a horse or a combination of higher stats and ratings make a difference. If we had showing classes then conformation is important. I get that a horse born with higher stats means it will compete at a higher level.

Conformation has nothing to do with showing.

Specialty specific stats are more important to showing, so for Western INT & SPD are more important than STR, END, & AGI (you would want the sum of these non-specialty stats to be about 60). Also important for winning shows are 5/5 tack, having your horse in a stable, and training it daily until you get to training level 5.

OK thanks, I understand the importance of INT, SPD, STR, END & AGI for different disciplines. If conformation ratings have nothing to do with performance then what are the significance of these, if any?

There is a possibility that conformation will be integrated into shows in the future OR that conformation shows will be brought back to the game.

For now conformation is just a personal goal to try and breed higher.
