What colour should I turn my store shetlands into?

#16799 Posted on 2016-03-08 12:32:57

Hello, I got three blank store shetlands that need to be tuned up. I really like the new amber champagne colour, but I really don't know what colour to give those horses.
One of those will be paired with a dunskin, bear that in mind. So anybody who loves creating horses on here, please help me with this.

I do only like sooty on the darker colours, since otherwise it's just an odd marking. Plain tobiano is just too roundy shaped white pattern on those shetlands. And I would like an amber champage as one of the horses.

since you've said amber champagne is one you definetely want, i'd say

1. amber champagne
2. something red based with pangare and flaxen (i personally love the red duns)
3. sooty silver black

since flaxen and pangare seem to be desirable colors, i'd add those in to any of the black/bay/brown based colors you choose. they might not show up on your stores, but they'll be good to have in future generations :)

i also like the way splash, roan, and rabicano look, and long white stockings and a blaze are so pretty to me :)

I don't like how pangare does not show on bays. In real it definitely does. So that gene needs some work on, I also don't like how extreme it is expressed, I got two pangare horses, one is minimal and the other is maximum like on here.

So I won't go pangare, maybe one horsey, palomino pangare, since that is the closest I can get to my own horse. He's a very light chestnut actually though.

I love roans and red duns as well..

Well, thank you for your opinion on this :)
