Low Confo Project?

#162476 Posted on 2018-03-23 06:04:08

Hey all, so I was going to fiddle around with breeding stats as low as I could, but decided that since I'd cap out after ~4 generations I'm going to switch to breeding for low confo (since breeding for high confo never interested me anyway). I was wondering if any of you lovely EV peeps would like to join me on the dark side?

Because the highest confo horses in the game are paints, I've decided to breed low confo paints (also the RC was full to the brim of paints).

My plan for this project is to riding school, train, and haycube my paints daily until they are 18 (like a proper breeding project; so they'll actually be high statted too) then convert and breed them keeping only the lowest confo horses. (for the first few gens I might try to sell off the extra foals since they'll have low confo but not rock bottom). Right now my paints are wearing endurance tack (because it's my favorite; I love the purple♥) but they'll most likely be converted from dressage to western when breeding time comes around.

the paints they don't have names yet cause I be lazy

Anyway just wondering if anyone'd like to join in on the fun? Also if you'd like to breed low confo paints with me I'd love your input on which discipline you'd like to set them too, that way if we ever swap foals or breeding services our horses will be in the same discipline.

If you're serious about the program but don't want to work with paints let me know, I'm willing to switch breeds (since I've only had them for 1 day at this point and they only cost 200 cause they're RC babes).

hahaha.. sounds like a fun project! Im not one whos focused on good confo either....because a: it doesnt help me in the show ring and b. it can always be bred up... When I buy foundies, or lined horses.. I focus soley on stats and stat spread.. High confo has never been a priority in my breeding program ( unless they introduce a halter class, in which case, I would focus only on confo scores lolol)..

Im busy thinning out my herds.. may join you in dabbling with the paints as I dont have any right now and I wouldnt be as focused on breeding them...so breeding for low confo might be a light, easy project to dabble with when I have time.. lol

sounds great! yeah I added them as a fun side project to my many sides projects lolz.

I already have 1 highly work intensive program, and 4-5 mildly intensive breeding programs so I wanted to added something easy and completely different that would just be for fun.
