How do people feel about the club president getting a notification when their club receives a horse registration or stud book application? Not one for every horse that applies, but something like "There are 23 applications pending in the [Horse] Club".

I actually thought about suggesting this myself; it would definitely be nice to know that you have registrations pending but would also be more of a convenience thing than a necessity.

Perhaps a once daily notice: "you have X horses pending registration"

I don't find it annoying persay, but part of the reason a member is (or should be) elected is because of the ability to check pending horse registrations and do them in a timely fashion.

LOL. See, I guess that's why I like it. The idea that the job maybe isn't being handled promptly. Not being a pres, or having any desire to be one maybe makes my perspective different. I'm wondering what's taking so long to get approval...

@ Katona your horse may have been rejected from the club; however due to an early bug you may just not have been notified about it. You might, kindly, PM the president of your club with the http:// link of your horse and ask if your horse was rejected; explaining you fear that the bug (most presidents will probably know which bug) may have kept you from receiving your notification and you'd just like to check on the registration status of your horse. I would think that most presidents would understand and willingly look into the situation for you. :)

I check every day, but a daily 'notice' wouldn't bother me.

@Aglet I wasn't speaking of an issue that happened, but a hypothetical.

I check daily as well, sometimes more, and generally don't have any issues with this. An infrequent reminder wouldn't affect me, but for some people it may be helpful. So long as it wasn't too frequent I wouldn't find it annoying.

I know this is a bit older, but it's something that I was going to suggest. Life's been a bit busy for me lately and every now and then I tend to forget to check the club page (It's terrible I know.) I'm one of the people who would really benefit from this I believe. I know it should be easy enough to check the page, but we all get busy now and then. It could even go on the 'your activity' page, "the Thoroughbred Club has 5 pending registrations" or something. I don't know how difficult it would be to implement, but I think a once daily notification or a sidebar thing, something that wouldn't really bother everyone too much. (I hope that makes sense) I have found that there are clubs where registrations can sit for weeks at a time, even for the whole month.
