This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, Xykon, for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!

Hello, everyone.  I realized recently that some of the most expensive credits listed for sale in the Credit Sales had been sitting there for months, and also that the owner of these credits hasn't been active in months.  No one is buying these credits; they're just sitting there, raising the average and maximum prices for credits.  What I propose is that there should be a time limit on credit sales.  If they haven't sold in a week (or maybe a little longer), the trade should expire.  If you don't support, please say why.  :)  Thanks for reading!

I don't think it matters if there's a expiration time limit in my opinion.

You can easily ignore any credits you don't want to purchase if they are out of your preferred price range & I believe you can sell your credits for any price irregardless of what the average price advises so I personally don't see the need to make this issue a priority when there are more pressing matters to deal with on EV!

@Velox

There is a certain price that is the highest you can sell them for, which is determined by the average credit price. True, there are more pressing matters to deal with, but I think this should be implemented. Players have already been ignoring the more expensive credits, which is why they're still there.

Brilliant idea! It seems that credit prices are one of the most complained about things, so I think this a significant thing to implement.

@Culebra

Thank you.  :)  It certainly does seem like a lot of people are complaining about credit prices--and with good reason, in my opinion.

Support!

Wish this could be applied to more than just credits... In my opinion, I would like to seem time expiration's on horse sales and created trades as it adds SOOOO much excessive clutter throughout the game. I am a neat freak but seems like when someone is inactive for 3 months or something, that their created trades should be automatically canceled and their listed horses for sale should be removed from sale. A bit of a separate subject from credits but same idea. Should I make a suggestion for this?

Players will just drive the price up anyway. I know cause I did it often before someone wedged them super high, which I'm thankful for. Someone active will just rotate them out at the high price, making the time limit pretty much useless. That's how I see it anyway and I know I'd probably be one of the players doing it xD

I agree about the credit sales, but I disagree with the suggestion in the comments about having an expiration for horse sales.  It is possible that someone may be taking a vacation from the game, and intends to come back and start again from scratch after an extended period.  They may want to put all their current horses up for sale so that they will not go to waste.

I'm kind of doing the same thing myself, except I'm not actually on vacation from the game.  But I am in the process of selling off my old herd, and it is taking a long time.  I would be very annoyed to find that my horses were being removed from sale, and I'm right here to be able to put them right back on sale.  But if someone is on an extended Equiverse vacation, they won't be able to put their horses back up for sale, and I can imagine being really frustrated to come back and find my stables still choked full of horses that had been kicked off the listings.

^You can't sell a horse if you haven't progressed the game, so it's kind of a moot point. Your horses are still viewable but autobuy/bidding doesn't show on non-progressed horses and you have to be around to accept bids and marketplace offers. The only exception to this is auctions.

An expiration date on horse sales would be useful though, since it would remove inactive player horses listed for sale that are clogging the market. When you flood a market with hundreds of similar quality horses, of course it's going to be harder to sell when players don't want to go through so many similarly named or horses that they already know the contents of.  However, I could only see this being useful if the removal of non-progressed horses from the list to view isn't added.

I completely agree with expiration on credit trades, sounds like it could potentially help a little bit with price stagnation problems.

I wasn't aware that you can't buy a horse if the owner hadn't progressed.  Mine that I've been selling have been for private auction rather than open sale, so it hasn't been something I've experienced.  I'm pretty sure you can bid on a horse if it hasn't been progressed, but that's different because the sale itself can't happen until the owner progresses.

In that case, if we do put an expiration date on horse listings, I would hope it would be done in a similar way that I suggested for item listings, where you get an alert with an option to renew the listing or change the price, and a grace period before the expiration takes effect.  I would like to see it only affect truly abandoned listings, not legitimate long-term listings.

I do agree that a credit listing expiration could quite possibly help reduce the inflated prices we're dealing with now.  Does anyone actually buy them at those prices?

@Confessor

I don't think anyone has been buying credits for more than about 130,000 EVD.

I imagine if you had an expiration on anything it would be for accounts that haven't been progressing. As in every time you progress you reset the expiration counter, which would allow for long term listing from active players but weed out the inactive listings.

I think anyone that does buy credits at those prices are people desperate to renew deluxe and autos. I personally hate buying at those prices and I can afford it no issue. >>;
