Why does this keep happening?

Alrighty, so about a week or so ago I was doing the dishes. I didn't notice there was a beer glass next to my hand, and well I hit it. Guess where it fell? Yep, right on my poor little foot (I was barefoot). It didn't break, but it's a very heavy glass, so it messed my foot up. My dad ended up having to do the rest of the dishes, because I was examining my foot. First it got a giant bruise, then it swelled.

About six months ago I stretched a tendon in my foot, that shot up my leg. Well, this new injury somehow made the pain of the other one come rushing back. You don't know pain until you injured a tendon. It is impossible to describe it, and it is something you will never want to experience again. This foot injury is being a pain in my butt, bringing back the excruciating pain, of that old tendon injury.

So, Sibbers is in a lot of pain, and is spending most of her time sitting or laying down.
Did I mention the word pain, enough times in this post? lol.

Anybody have painful injuries at the moment, or recovering from something?

:( Ouch!!!! That sounds as bad as when this almost two year old filly stomped on my right foot in December. It STILL hurts.

I fell about a week ago. Landed on the same leg i fractured. Well to top it off i think i pulled a muscle in my foot. Still hurts at times to walk on it. But theres nothing they can do to help it. So i have taken to stretching it out daily and icing it when it swells.

The fracture was a hair line fracture about 4 inches above my ankle.

When i fell i thought i had re-fractured it.

The worst I've had recently is a broken pinky toe (made worse by the fact that I walk on the outsides of my feet, so I had to tilt my foot in to help the pain) and what I believe is a hiatal hernia..not a real "injury" but still very uncomfortable, especially when almost every time I eat or drink it feels like I'm swallowing around a huge knot and sometimes I hiccup so hard it feels like a dry heave. Still hoping I don't randomly throw up in public cause of that one lol

I broke two toes, and my middle finger on my right hand.

My foot has gotten worse, ugh I can barely walk. I'll probably have to put it in a cast today.

I'm having a permanent nose cold for almost a half year. This is because I got addicted to nasal spray. And I can't live without it anymore. xD

I sometimes can't even breath to it at all, and then because of this addiction I need to use the spray for another 3 hours "boost" to losen up my nose. I think I might've used up more then 60 nasal-spray bottles.

Because of that I often get a nose-bleeding. I'm also stressing completely out when my nasal-spray bottle seems to be empty and the stores are closed. :'(

@JytteH: Thanks! What did you break? I've broken two toes, and one finger.

That sucks Sibby :x

When I was preggers, if I stretched out while laying down (usually while sleeping or after waking up) I'd have a shooting pain down the backs of my calves that would make me cry out.... It sucked and still happens sometimes when I'm not careful stretching ;~;

Now I have a recurring pain in my shoulder blade that makes it hard to draw/sit up/do certain tasks.... it sucks being in constant pain ;~; I'm sorry you have to experience that again though D:

I've broken my left leg twice in my life (once from a faulty baby gate and once from a fall from a bunk bed), broken both of pinkie toes (one of them twice), got thrown from my friends horse causing major pain in my left hip for several days, though thankfully not broken, and I fell trying to catch my cat to keep him from escaping on some icy steps. my right leg went under me and though I was able to get right back up and chase him, for over a year the skin felt numb there when I would touch it.

While I haven't damaged a tendon, I tore ligaments in my right knee about 11 years ago. Now I'm accident prone - injuring myself is nothing new to me, and neither is pain. But tearing those ligaments in my knee was probably one of the most excruciating things I've ever had happen. Unfortunately, even with physical therapy, the ligaments never healed right and have left behind permanent damage, especially since I have fallen and re-tore those same ligaments at least another 5 times since the original accident. And boy, let me tell you - it's not fun! So now a days my knee tends to get weak when I've been up and about for an extended period of time and I have to rest least I risk tearing those ligaments again.

I also managed to permanently damage the rotator cuff in my right shoulder. I was sitting in the floor with my dogs, when they broke into a fight with me between them. I was scrambling to get away and landed on my arm wrong while backpedaling. I can't lift anything heavy, or overwork said shoulder without being in intense pain and feeling very weak after.

And last but not least, I have 2 herniated disks in my lower back. Not a real "injury", but something that causes me problems sometimes (on top of the fact that I have Scoliosis, Arthritis and Degenerative Disk Disease in my spine).

Kite is a mess aha.

Kite, you have similar injuires to me.. partially torn left knee ligament ( knee likes to give out wheniever it feels like it ....
and an old right shoulder rotator cuff tear that I got from wrestling an agitated, psychotic, psychiatric patient back when I worked as an RN on an acute psych unit...Needless to say...that was the icing on the cake for me... I head back to internal
medicine after that.
annnd two lower back degenerating discs pffft....ah, the joys of gettin old pfffft lol

I'm a walking disaster. This month I've hit someone in the hallway with my ~40 pound backpack, face-planted while on a bird walk with my avian biology class, and bumped my knee against a chair putting a large bruise on it. So far in my life I've never broken any bones; but I have genetically bad knees which sometimes limits my ability to do strenuous activity.
