Help with Gimp??

I am trying to make some basic manips and text images with gimp. Everytime it always saves with this ugly yellow dotted lines on it. Does anyone use Gimp and know how to prevent this? It is driving me crazy and making me a bit angry.

Can you post a picture of an image with the lines? I use an older version of Gimp but it's all I've ever used so I'll help if I can.
