Silver on andalusians question

I may be mistaken, so im open to correction!

But I had the Idea that a horse with silver genes would have its mane and tail color changed (depending if het or homo silver?)

Ive looked trough some Andalusians and while I (in my current knowledge) understand that the het horses with Zz would not have their mane and tail colour changed I saw that homo ZZ horses did not have a white mane and tail coloration.

Does it have to do on how the silve gene expresses itself in the Andalusian breed in RL? ( i wasnt even aware that andalusians could have the silver gene xD)

Silver only effects horses with the E gene, so EE or Ee.

If you like the silver changing the main and tail you should look into Tennessee Walking Horses in EV they do show this trait. Silver black TWHs are gorgeous.
