Hello! I'm interested in getting into the coding and layout business, but I'm not too sure where to get started? I can't find any websites on how to start coding, or make it compatible

The best way to learn html/css IMO is find something that you like and play with it to see what happens. You can get the source code of any page by right clicking and going to "view source" (in Firefox/Chrome at least).

I'll try both of those things and see what I can learn. Thanks so much!

A lot of learning code is just jumping in and trying things out, and a lot of coders are self-taught (that's how I learned). There are lots of sites out there that can help you get started though. W3schools, which Altair linked, is good for a resource and the 'try it out' sections are helpful, but if you'd like something with more of a course format Codeacademy is good and entirely free.
