Lv. 6, Still Confused. Halp.

Thank you ahead of time for the help.

I've been playing for a little while now (maybe a month and a half?) and am still a little confused as to how exactly this game works.

I /think/ I get the training aspect of it. I get the treats aspect of it. I kind of get the breeding aspect of it. However, showing has still managed to befuddle me.

I don't know if the horses I have right now are even worth putting effort into concerning winning shows. I don't know if things will start picking up once I am finally able to access the auctions to sell and buy. I've noticed players with millions of $ in their bank while only being a couple levels above me. I don't know if they have access to things I do not through deluxe membership, they are game-savvy, or maybe they're all of the above.

If someone could please just explain the fundamentals, that would be spectacular.

So for showing, I get the best results when I am constantly treating my horses and entering them shows every day that I'm on. I also train my horses in the correct discipline and level at the training center, which helps with the luck factor. I'm also in the process of upgrading my tack to all 5/5, and some of my 7yr old foundies have over 90 placings in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd already.

There definitely is a trick to showing, but once you get the hang of it, it can be really rewarding.

I'm going to take a quick glance over your showing stock at first.

It's a great idea to enter your horses in the grade they are currently in, but only if they are in the top 20 stats of that grade.

The resources Kala shared are extremely helpful, but bear in mind that some things are a little outdated.
