Am I crazy or smart?

#146018 Posted on 2018-02-03 22:22:10

I LOVE all the color possibilities when it comes to Mustangs, Miniatures, and Gypsy Vanners. However, do you think I'm going overboard? I've spent probably over 200+ credits on color items to give my horses awesome colors, buying customs, and carefully testing color combinations as well as for conformation.

Such as:
SkittlesEpic Dream
RubatiArakhu
DavkeAhote
Amukkan x Kishar
AmlodiBalasu
FriggDamkina

And what I mean by the credits is I probably should've used that money towards paying off my loans instead; but I've played this game for over 9 years and this is the first time I've had to buy credits using USD.

Do you think I should just be more conservative in purchasing and using my credits on my herds or continue like I have been?

I think you should do what you want. (:
While I would personally save my credits just because I can't buy any with Ev money or with real money at the moment, lol, I think it just all depends on what you want to do, and what you think is fun. I think it's a game, and games were meant to be fun, lol. But if your using real money all the time on credits on here, then i would say to be a little careful. But I won't go into the whole 'save your money' lecture, cause I don't want to. XD (But my dad's an accountant and it is just so hard not to). So whatever you feel is right. (:

I think I'll force myself to stop buying credits every other week and do it once a month. I did replace the $50 I used for the last batch I bought yesterday with some of my tip money from work. :)

I wouldn't use real money on games just because I think that there are more important things in life that I should spend money on (Okay, unless I want to be generous to the game. If Abbey needed money to keep Ev going I would give her some, lol) But then again that's just me haha. But I think that's a good idea! (:

Ehh, if you have a good plan toward paying student loans (and it sounds like you do), why not spend a lil on your hobbies/likes every once in a while? Even if it's just a game, you don't have to deny yourself the things you like all the time in order to pay off your loans. My boyfriend has a ton to pay off, but he will still buy beers and go out for meals because he likes that and he makes sure he has enough to make payments/have some savings.

So I say crazy AND smart hehe, but don't spend outside your means!

Yeah, I pay the minimum amount + up to $500 extra if I can. I have almost gotten it below 20k. Man, but do you know how many times I have looked at my EVD and wished I could use it to pay off my student loans?! 😊 One can only dream.

Work hard, be smart, and allow yourself a little wiggle room for fun!

That's really good!

I feel ya, I am not the richest EVer, but I just think dang, if only I could convert this to real money.

Been there, done that. Probably spent close to 300 credits over the past year on colour items/Loki's Daggers. I've been buying 100 credits every three months or so and will probably continue to do that.

I studied hard.

I work hard.

I earn decent money.

If I want to splurge on colorful pixel ponies I can and I will :p

I took the plunge & bought 200 credits last month with some money I got for xmas to change my new line of driving shetlands into pretty colours like champagnes & perlinos etc and to create a new foundation line of cremello/perlino Trakehners on my other acct.

I think if you've earned your money then why can't you treat yourself now & then?!

Also if everyone stopped buying credits with Real money EV could cease to exist :(

i think it’s your money to do with as you please, and you should use it how you want to.

personally, my fiancée and i have a very strict budget in place to pay down loans and save for a house. part of that budget is that we each get $50 a week to spend on anything we want. For my fiancée it’s games or juice for her e-cig, and for me it’s starbucks and EV! i’m laid up with a broken ankle so i didn’t spend anything for two weeks, so i recently splurged and bought $100 worth of credits. I got a wee bit of a judgemental look, but no comments because it’s my money to do with as Inplease :p

Exactly Kahzie :p

We are in the process of buying & renovating our house and we have an elderly mastiff who costs us a ton in vet & medical bills each month but me & my bf both keep a small amount of "crazy spending money" to do with as we please.

For me it is books, going out with friends and EV...
