Club Boosts - Potential Game Addition

#144607 Posted on 2018-01-31 06:18:40

honestly, I really don't see the point to this. I feel like most competitive players - who most likely make up a majority of club members - keep their horses' health and happiness at 100% at all times, and even if they could go above 100% a lot of people use auto care anyway so it isn't helping them any.

and then there's the issue of preventing other players from culling... this is a huge no-no for me, as I know some outspoken players are very against it but it's an integral part of my game. I don't want anyone messing with that.

I don't know if this is a useful feature.

While I do appreciate what the admins do for the game and all the hard work that is being put into it, and I really don't want to sound ungrateful, but I think there are more pressing issues (breeding down non specialty stats, fixing issues with unrealistic horse colors... ) that need attention first instead of developing these little "perks".

I understand your perspective - those more pressing topics have been/are being discussed (the non-specialty stats in more than one suggestion topic I have been tracking, and anything to do with markings/colours in the pinned topic on that subject); just because this item is being brought up now does not mean it will take precedence over those other suggestions and development changes.

This particular subject is being brought up for discussion in order to 'test the waters' so to speak. It's not panning out to be the most popular idea (and there are logistical issues as well), and that's ok. It doesn't have to end up happening, and won't necessarily be implemented simply because we talk about. I have been using this time during which Abbey is taking a break in order to bring up some of these possible ideas and to see if they would be worth pursuing in future. I cannot make updates to the game myself but pursuing discussion about some of these topics now gives feedback in order to guide what will be happening in future.

Like others have suggested, I am not keen on this idea as I don't want people taking care of MY horses. I would support if players have to opt "in" to this so they aren't automatically signed up for this.

Also, I would MUCH rather see other things added to the game as I don't really see the point to this suggestion, in my opinion.

What if both players got player EXP? It could vary from small amounts like +10 EXP to larger amounts like +100 EXP. It would be beneficial for new players but it wouldn't harm anyone's elses game either. You could even have random treats (game generated) given to both players.
