Interest Check - Driving Friesians??

I’d be interested! Although I’m not sure I’d be able to resister many horses right away since I would just be starting up my line. I don’t really have the rl cash to sink into this game (University is eating my wallet) so I can’t have a deluxe account unfortunately :(

i also love the chestnuts BECAUSE of the fact that they look so fake and shiney :P

Any club names suggestion?

I will look into it and see if I can create one.
@ Clover, you always can wait before registering. That's what I usually do with my horses :)

I’m not very creative when it comes to names, haha. I would keep it simple and have it just be something like “Driving Friesians Club/Association” or “Well Conformed Driving Friesians”.

And yay! This is exciting! Also that might be what I end up doing, but since I’ll be starting with a line of foundations I have no idea what their conformation is going to be like. I think I’ll give myself a cutoff of 57 or so to start? I don’t really know yet, but I’m at least set up to start getting my Friesians at any time, since I just dumped a bunch of money into buying and upgrading driving tack.

I never really bothered with confo, as far as on the horse. I don't really get the formula, much like I don't get genetics so its all simply a cross my fingers and hope for the best XD hence why stats are fun for me/what I breed for, there isn't much thought (at least on my part, lol) put into them and my brain is so scattered these days that its for the best that I dont have a major breeding plan xD

@ Clover, I usually had a good luck with store friesians. For some reason, they usually come with good conformation. I didn't have to look for long with friesians and probably only brought 30 horses in total. With my clydesdales and Morgans, I probably brought over 100 horses each in order to completed my herd of 16... I have a lot of Friesians in 60's (which is unusual). I think 57 is good number to start with. If you have my luck, you probably won't need to spend a lot of money in order to complete your herd.

@ Wonder, I never bred for conformation so this will be my first time :)

i have either bought mine from other players or gotten them from the RC, so i was able to be very picky about conformation. all of my foundations are 60+

i have four foundation mares and two foundation stallions. I wanted even pairs so I am breeding out to two lovely foundation stallions owned by Sabriel and Wiki. i'm counting down the days until i can breed them ♥

@Andromeda, that's deff the best way to increase confo; i've done some experimenting in the last few months. i always try to pair anything below 50 in a single category with something 62 or higher.

i also breed my pairs multiple times and keep the best foal, regardless of stats. stats can be increased, but confo is static through the lifetime. and the foals of a pair can range pretty broadly too. I have one pair where the stallion was 60.50, the mare was 62.00, and their three foals were 58.5, 59.51, and 62.47. boy am i glad i decided to breed them three times instead of just two! xD

speaking of which, i'll have a few Ee second gens for sale if any of you would be interested in them ;)

Really??
I was planning on breeding them twice and keep the best one... Maybe I should consider breeding them thrice... ummmm, which one to choose... I will make my decision when they are at breeding age XD My Morgans will reach breeding age before my friesians so I probably will use them as an experiment XD

I haven’t been able to find Friesians lately that would have suitable stats to be driving friesians that I could buy from other players unfortunately :( I’ll check the market throughout the week and the day I buy some from the EC, but I’m not sure I’ll have much luck. I think I’m going to have 3 stallions and 3 mares to start, and probably breed them 3-4 times a piece? Not exactly sure what I’ll do from there but I have months to plan for that haha.

I’ve planned with my other trakehners and dutchies to breed them 3-4 times(I’m trying 4 for my trakes and 3 for my dutchies) each as well, and then lock the babies at 3 until most of their parents have passed. That’s mostly because all of my horses are weird ages that don’t correspond very well together so I want all their kids to be the same age for my 2nd gen.

@Andromeda that gives me some hope for my EC horses, at least! I haven’t bought from the EC since I made my first horse onsite, but I had some pretty amazing luck with her anyways. This is her (link won’t embed for some reason so clicky >> https://www.equiverse.com/horse.php?id=644829), she has tobiano, roan, pretty decent confo and is consistently my most successful show horse, even more so than lined horses I’ve bought from others! I hope my Friesians turn out just as good!

@ Clover, if you need more friesians, feel free to check my locked division. If you want any of them, just let me know and I will transfer them to you :)

@ Andromeda

I super appreciate the offer! I actually was able to snag some mares from the RC last week and used the EC to get some stallions (I wound up dropping 40k to do so, worth it imo). I

@ Kahzie, I know what you mean... It took a lot of willpower to not expand my herd right now DX I am strongly considering sell my clydesdales so I can replace them with more friesians XD
I didn't expect that I would become so attached to them. I used to hate their breed art because they are so shiny... I brought my herd as an experiment... now I am attached to them... oops XD
