Hello! Just wondering from all you "advanced" and "experienced" breeders, does age bred affect the quality of the foal?

Most people I think do 2-3 foals. Usually breeding in the range of 18-20. I’ve just returned and haven’t bred anything yet, but I’m pretty sure there’s a 7 day cool down on mares before you can breed again.

Most people wait until age 18 to breed to get better performance and 2 foals from a mare at maximum. It does make better foals. I overbreed my horses most of the time because I rarely sell any. I am a hoarder lol I will say I have started breeding the 2 foals maximum with my younger horses. That being said, I have noticed a huge improvement to my herd. I am more about color and conformation than stats, but stats are winning shows.

I breed twice, once at 17 years, ages in seven days and once at 19 years, ages in seven days. It does make for slightly lower-statted foals, but I don't want to miss breeding dates. Conformation does not affect showing. More generations in a horse's pedigree does generally help, since they usually have higher stats.
