I started to teach myself to use GIMP and design characters. Here's my first offering to the Equiverse public. Lines are from the wonderful http://darya87.deviantart.com. Varda Elentári is one of the Valar - the gods/high angels of Middle-earth. She is beloved by the elves as she made the stars and is thus called Gilthoniel "Starkindler" or Elentári "Starqueen". The constellations featured are Aries, Orion, Canis Majoris, Cassiopeia, Crux, Columba, and Scorpio (see if you can find them!). The text in the background is the Sindarin version of A Elbereth Gilthoniel (which is transliterated in the latin alphabet at the start of the post). So, does anyone want to take her home?
