New Discipline?

#136692 Posted on 2017-12-26 13:19:59

After many generations of western paints I'm considering switching disciplines, Ive got a bunch of new foundations in progress and I feel like a change. I've also been using haycubes forever without realizing how much people disiked high non specialty stats. I always just send them for riding school hours so it hasn't bothered me. But now Im not sure what Id like to change to? Id also love to maybe do a breeding project with someone else, Im getting abit bored and I feel like a paint breeding project with a partnrr would be fun. And if Im just going to convert them anyway now would be the time.

So what should I change them to? And is anyone up for a paint breeding project?

I have been thinking about breeding paints for western. I would certainly be interested in a breeding project. I am not sure if you were wanting to change disciplines now, but if you were interested in anything besides dressage or racing, I would be!

I've decided to finish up my third set of western paints up, however I've locked my extra 3 foundation pairs to switch disciplines on later once I've decided on a discipline. Wouldn't mind doing possibly driving since I already have driving gypsys or possibly racing.

So still looking for someone to do a paint breeding project with in the future. I work with solids, roans, rabicano and a few overos thrown in. I have three pairs locked at 13yrs old that are western right now, could start some more foundation pairs now to add to the numbers also.

I've been collecting foundations + the occasional clean short lined paint for driving and racing lines I've got planned. I'm not sure how active I'll be able to be once uni starts up again, but I'm fairly confident that by 3rd gen I'll have horses with nice confo, appropriate stat distribution for their discipline (racing line or driving line) and some nice colours (maybe, not too important to me right now). If/when that happens I'll be open to a couple of outside breedings ^^

Awesome, thanks. I've decided to convert the three pairs I have to racing and then start building up more racing pairs until I've got enough.
