I was thinking a limited time winter riding location, e.g. Dec 1-Jan 31*, with special Item drops(?) would be cool.

*Not this year obviously.

I'd rather see the current locations change based on the game season... descriptions, what you find, etc. be based on the season.

Shouldn't be that complicated; it can be automatically changed conditionally on the season (like the banner is).
