EV's Worst Show horses xD

#133759 Posted on 2017-12-14 09:10:29

Hercules
Megara

These two QH's are Show Jumpers.
They've been at about 340-343 stats for the past 4 days.
I've entered them into shows every day and they've not placed in a single show (so haven't received a single stat point for any of them).
They have 5/5 tack on as well... And at the top of their division range.

It's actually really funny to me at this point.
EV's worst show horses xD hahaha

The reason why they are not winning any shows is because of their high non-specialty stats.
Show levels depend on the total amount of stats you have but winning depends on how many specialty stats (and how less non-specialty stats) your horse has. When a lot of your stats are in places they do not need to be (for you its Strength, Intelligence and Endurance), then you are bound to lose. The more stats in Speed and Agility, the better chance you have to win. The max total amount of non-specialty stats you want on a horse is 65, any higher and your horse might not do so well.

I would suggest schooling those horses instead of showing them :)

Oh I didn't know those actually affected showing, just thought they were undesirable. Hmm
Oh well, no big loss :)
Thanks Rem

Haha they're actually in the Olympics competition, but i'm not too bummed. I've still got other competitors who are doing great :)
Was actually planning on converting them after the competition to Western like the rest of my QHs. We'll see if I still do that or not. Who knows!

I was so confused as to how they couldn't seem to even get 3rd in a single competition! It's nice to know why they were so horrible hahaha

The non specality stats on the horse are high. It is what I call a poor shower. With horse like that one you need to waite to show them when they are 10-20 points from the getting into the next level.

I made this post a while ago, and when I did they were both 5 points from moving up to their next division and weren't placing in anything.
It's just because of their non specialty stats. I just hadn't known at the time that those actually affected showing. I just thought they were undesirable. And since I planned to convert these horses later, it didn't bother me at the moment.

Since they are foundations, when you do convert them, every stat you've added to them since birth will revert to the two areas you want them in.  From then on, as long as you give them the right treats, they should be perfectly respectable show horses.

Yup yup that is the plan Confessor!!
I guess I just hadn't thought it would be bad to show them while not converted yet.
But I know now for the future!

two of my TBs are like that.  i bought them as nicely-statted 2-year-olds and trained them until they were three.  they're both equipped with 5/5 tack, but they only rarely place in shows and have yet to earn a single stat from showing.  idk what's going on, lol

I don't know if I have it anymore, but I breed two foundation horses right after I got them and the foal had 99 stats. I was laughing so hard I was crying lol

@Rem they're both trained in racing.  here are their stats:

STR: 43 +26
SPD: 267 +101
AGI: 54 +26
INT: 38 +26
END: 262 +101
ALL: 664

and

STR: 41 +36
SPD: 214 +111
AGI: 74 +36
INT: 60 +36
END: 183 +111
ALL: 572

so not super low, but not too horrible, i don't think

Yeah, that explains why they arent doing so well.
If trained in racing, you want their strength, agility, and intellect to be low. Its recommended that if you added together STR, AGI, and INT, that it should equal 60. As long as it is 60 or lower, your horses should do well in shows.
