When to breed?

When is the best time to breed foundation horses? Some of my herd is getting older and I'm not sure they're going to get much better stats, but should I still wait until the last day to breed them? Any input would be great!

Most people wait until their horses are 17-18+, because even if you do just riding school and treats that is a minimum of probably 20 stats a week, so that will make a difference :]

But it's up to you.
