I'm wondering why my foal has turned out as N1 when the sire is Na1 Western and the dam is Na2 Western?

I believe, if I understand correctly, that all foals are born at the default N1 level and once they roll over, on the next day, are placed within the correct level. edit: just realized that my foals, that have been locked since their day of birth and have not been aged, were born at L2. so I don't know.

Maybe after training they get the stats and go up to the level they are supposed to be at?

All foals are born at N1 until the next cron cycle, then display the correct grade (I'm under the impression it updates locked foals as well ).

Usually when I breed they're born at the right level for their stats. Maybe I'll wait until rollover and if it's the same tomorrow should I report it as a bug?

I have bought a few foals that were 600+ stats and listed as N1. When I completed foal training they bumped up to the right division!
