Goshen Appaloosa Sale Horse of the Day!

#120002 Posted on 2017-09-02 13:02:07

I am selling all my horses.  I have a large herd of Appaloosas, and they all must go!  I'm going to feature one horse per day, until they all are gone.  Happy horse shopping!

(All my horses are for sale, but not all have been put up yet, as there are so many.  If you see a horse you want that is not yet listed, send me a message, and I will put that horse up for private auction so you can bid on it.)

19 year old Grey Snowcap Appaloosa mare, trained in Endurance.
     (EeAaGgFfZzLL2)

Currently 1099 stats
     Strength - 15
     Speed - 25
     Agility - 24
     Intelligence - 513
     Endurance - 522

62.14 Average Conformation
     Head - 65.83
     Neck - 37.14
     Withers - 82.29
     Back - 40.15
     Shoulders - 86.99
     Legs - 53.16
     Knees - 53.57
     Hooves - 78.00

The old grey mare is better than she ever was!  What a career, earning over $70,000 over her lifetime.  She brought home the gold 219 times, placing a total of 637 times, and has 5 out of 6 achievement awards.  She's got some shows still left in her.  Maybe she'll bring home that last achievement award for you!  Bred, treated, and trained for Endurance.  She is at Training Level 5.

Don't be scared off by that grey.  She has a lot to offer someone who wants to breed for color.  She is heterozygous for grey, which means she will only pass it on 50% of the time.  Hiding under that, though, is plenty of value.  She can produce a foal of any base coat color, and carries a silver and a flaxen gene.  Also, you may not be able to see it, but she is actually a snowcap, and matched with the right stallion, can pass that on, or even have a blanket foal.  She can also produce leopard, fewspot, and varnish roan, but will never have an unmarked foal.

Her average conformation is decent, but conformation breeders may be interested in her for her Excellent ratings for withers and shoulders, and she could be used to balance out a stud with deficits in both those areas.

She has not had a foal yet, but still has the potential to have two more without the use of items.  Poised at the end of her breeding window, foals born from her now will have the maximum possible stats she can give.  Her sire is second generation, and her dam is a foundation.  Her sire was a mildly popular stud, but you should still have no trouble finding her an unrelated mate, and she has no inbreeding in her pedigree.

Currently available for bids!

19 year old Grullo Fewspot Appaloosa Stallion, trained in Endurance
     (EeaaDLL12)

Currently 1253 total stats
     Strength - 25
     Speed - 15
     Agility - 23
     Intelligence - 598
     Endurance - 592

15.1 hands

53.39 Average Conformation
     Head - 44.74
     Neck - 57.57
     Withers - 53.69
     Back - 54.16
     Shoulders - 57.29
     Legs - 59.96
     Knees - 53.69
     Hooves - 46.00

This stallion is a high stat Endurance showhorse with a solid record of over $69,000 earned, with 157 wins, 469 places, and 3 achievement awards earned.  Bred, treated, and trained to maximize his showing power, he will be an asset to any show stable, or as a stud to father high stat Endurance showhorses.

He carries a dun gene, and can sire foals that have any base color, depending on their dam.  He also has the potential to produce a foal with any of the Appaloosa patterns, but will never father an unpatterned foal.

I would not recommend him for a breeding program that is aimed for conformation.

He is a second generation horse, who has not yet been bred.  His parents did not have an enormous number of offspring, so finding an unrelated mate for him should be very easy.

This stallion is currently available for bidding!

19 year old Black Blanket Appaloosa Mare, trained in Endurance.
     (EeaafL2)

Currently 1042 stats
     Strength - 17
     Speed - 28
     Agility - 23
     Intelligence - 488
     Endurance - 486

66.29 Average Conformation
     Head - 75.87
     Neck - 40.88
     Withers - 77.61
     Back - 45.30
     Shoulders - 84.46
     Legs - 68.55
     Knees - 66.61
     Hooves - 71.00

Another great mare at the end of her showing career, this horse has earned over $70,000 over her lifetime, with 178 wins, 586 places, and 4 achievement awards.  She was bred, treated, and trained specifically for Endurance.  She is at just the right age to produce the best possible foal, so she would make a perfect broodmare for an operation that focuses on quality Endurance horses with high stats.

She is also a truly stunning specimen - jet black, with the signature blanket pattern that comes to mind when you think of an Appaloosa.  It can be a difficult pattern to breed for, but paired with the right stallion, she has a solid chance of passing the pattern on to a foal.  She can also produce any base color.  And as an added bonus, she carries a flaxen gene.  If you're truly lucky, maybe you'll get a flaxen chestnut blanket foal!

This mare has a respectable average conformation, with some highs and some lows.  She could balance out a stallion that is weak in his shoulders, or could be paired with a stallion with a great score in neck and back.

She has not had any foals, and has no inbreeding in her pedigree.  Her sire was a second generation horse, and her dam was a foundation.  Her father was bred quite a few times, but it should still be easy to find her an unrelated mate.

19 year old Chestnut Snowcap Appaloosa Stallion, trained in Endurance
     (eeaaLL2)

Currently 1383 total stats
     Strength - 17
     Speed - 19
     Agility - 17
     Intelligence - 673
     Endurance - 657

15.2 hands

61.16 Average Conformation
     Head - 70.66
     Neck - 58.96
     Withers - 53.51
     Back - 52.67
     Shoulders - 55.34
     Legs - 64.57
     Knees - 63.67
     Hooves - 70.00

This is a truly impressive stallion.  At over $109,000, he is the third highest Appaloosa show earner currently active in Equiverse.  He has 229 wins, and placed 530 times, and has 5 achievement awards.  What a valuable Endurance stud he would make!

When it comes to color, this stallion could father a foal of any base color.  Also, he is a snowcap, which means he would be fairly easy to get snowcap and blanket foals, which is often a challenge.  Any Appaloosa pattern is possible, though, depending on the mare.  But there will always be a pattern of some kind.

He has a solidly respectable conformation across the board.

He has only sired two foals so far.  Both his parents are foundations, so it is very easy to avoid inbreeding.
