Mallis ♂

Personality/Traits: Being a quiet and non-social wolf, an unusual trait for wolves, this odd wolf prefers to be alone. He had not developed proper social skills at birth, leading to this trait. Purebred Gray Wolf, he was taken by human shelter at an early age. His mother, a white she-wolf with blue eyes, had died shortly after he was born. Mallis was taken into the care of humans for a few months then being given to the wildlife conservation. He is not focused on making friends, but climbing up the ranks. He sees that a wolf must reach high ranks to prove themselves. Being at the hunter status, his next step up is quite a big jump, and he must fight for the next position as male beta. The pack, however, does not like Mallis all that much. Higher ranks pick on him and bully him with nips. He joined the pack about a year after once he was placed. He doesn't generally like other wolves, but significantly enjoys the sport of hunting. Being a quiet wolf, he doesn't often howl or yap. Even though he seems like a runt, his size tells other wise. He is taller and heavier than the average Gray Wolf, and in addition a little more lengthy.

Opening: Winter had just shown its' true colors. With snow-coated trees and a meadow no longer green, the Wildlife Reserve grew quiet. Winter means less prey. Less prey meant smaller portions. And well, you get the drift... and the harsh winds. Upon one starry night, a small sliver of the moon spread light throughout the lands. That was the start of an adventure...

Personality/traits:
Filtiarn is strong and determined...she will put up a fight for her pack! She has a steady temper but if you get on your bad side get ready to feel the pain!! She has the skills and as an only pup her parents had high hopes for her... and she delivered. Filtiarn is very independent and adventurous, she loves to go out on her own which usually gets her in trouble with yer parents. She's very important to her pack as her parents are the alphas she needs to be ready to take her mother's place when the time comes. She's can be friendly at times but isn't really the social type. Her pack is her main focus and she is more into caring for them then finding new friends.

Her eyes

The sun barely peaked over the trees and Filtiarn was already wide awake. Today was her special day,she was finally able to go hunting with out the pack. She loved hunting with the pack but this was her time to show the pack what she can do! She shivered in excitement at the thought of running after prey on her own! Her mother gave her the go ahead and she took off into the woods at the edge of the valley, within her territory she breathed in the fresh morning air. The morning dew was still hugging the grass firmly until she stepped on it, it then made her feet wet. 

He trot around, pacing. He felt ready to climb higher in the ranks today. His next step to Alpha was Beta. If he won this battle... he would be so close. He suddenly stopped in his tracks, and turned around. Walking with his tail head high, he angled to the way where the Alpha was. At his approach, the Alpha raised his haunches and snarled.


"What are you doing here?" He barked

Mallis instinctively lowered his body to the ground until the Alpha's snarl faded. He then said blankly, "I hereby declare a challenge against the Beta." To this, Alpha pricked his ears. "Very well." He howled loudly, sending an echo throughout the woods. Soon, all the wolves arrived to the meeting area. The Alpha climbed upon his rocks and spoke, "Beta, Hunter Mallis has challenged you for your position. Do you accept?"

A rough voice spoke, "I do."

The two wolves lined up. The Alpha clamped a rabbit in his claws, and suddenly dropped it. This signaled the fight. The Beta was a little smaller than Mallis, but had much more experience. Beta charged forward, aiming at the throat of his opponent. Mallis lay low and suddenly flipped onto his back, lying down. Beta couldn't stop in time and kept going, while Mallis kicked upwards and slashed at Beta's stomach. He whined in a slight pain but then turned back around again. Beta had slowly advanced on Mallis, trying to corner him. Mallis took this chance to try out a new move. He let himself be cornered, and as he tried to leap over, Beta had bitten onto him and brought Mallis crashing to the ground. Growling, Beta pinned Mallis. That battle didn't last very long.

"From being a high rank, I was granted authority to punish the loser however I pleased, without death. Hunter Mallis is to be exiled from these lands. If one paw passes our borders, any wolf is eligible to kill." Beta suddenly bit down onto his ear, ripping out a small piece and leaving Mallis with a torn ear, a sign of exile. Beta then let Mallis out of his grip and bit him, as Mallis sprinted off with his tail tucked inbetween his legs. This is where his long adventure would begin as a lone wolf.

She knew her father would be furious if he knew she went in the woods,but she didn't care...she was done with being pushed around! She was finally free as her mother always said wild heart can never be tamed. She loved that saying and it's always stuck with her along her journey called life! Filtiarn stopped and crouched when a rabbit came into view, nothing special but she didn't want to take on a bigger obstacle until she knew she could handle something small. Apparently she wasn't the only one going after this rabbit..she caught a sent that wasn't hers nor the rabbits. 

He stalked the rabbit, laying low and approaching from upwind to avoid his scent as much as possible. Mallis slowly advanced on the rabbit, not noticing the other scent that would be so obvious to smell. He was hungry, and would do anything to catch this snack. He approached closer, nearing the rabbit. Come on... a little closer...... he thought. Licking his chops, he carefully let his right leg advance a step further. He was prepared... 

She pounced as soon as a black wolf and the rabbit jumped out the way and the two crashed into each other(classic love story XD). "Ouch what the...who are you"he asked holding back a defensive growl. That's not a good way to make friends she thought to herself. She backed away and looked at the wolf it was diffidently a male he was taller and more muscular then her but that didn't mean she couldn't take him on if it came down to it! Hungry she looked around and just then she heard a growl come from behind her. Instantly she shrink down to her belly in surrender knowing exactly who it was...he father. "Dad um.. what are you doing out here"she asked nervously! "No the question is what are YOU doing here"her father growled snarling and showing everyone of his teeth!"I was...I was hunting" Filtiarn said defensively! "You waste of space that I have to call daughter"her father said angrily! She backed away hurt from his words...trying to hold back tears she said"well don't call me daughter then I'll just leave!" She ran her anger getting the best of her...he hurt her a lot she loved her family with all her heart and she did her best to please them but it was never enough!   

Seeing another Alpha wolf, he quickly tried to flee from sight. He still needed to hunt for food, and he didn't want to socialize with any other wolves. He sprinted off, leaping over a fallen tree and fleeing from sight. He then slowed down and looked behind him, making sure no other wolves were following him. He then trotted off into the dense forest weaving between trees. Mallis walked around for a while, trying to pick up any scents of something he could catch. 

She ran never looking back when she heard foot steps behind her her heart rate sped up. She looked behind her and her father was there and he ran up to her and before she had time to even think to run he jumped on her. Hitting her head on the ground she yelped in pain very loudly. "Stop I'm sorry dad please I'm sorry"she pleaded knowing he could kill her. She laid there helpless hopping,praying some one anyone would help her.

He heard the cry of a wolf in distress. He couldn't find anything to eat, and he was curious. Loping closer to the sound, he slowed down to a stealthy walk, dipping his head. He looked in front of him and saw a wolf being pinned. He tilted his head, not knowing what to do. The wolf pinning the other looked like the Alpha he had seen earlier. He was... scared. The last Alpha he knew was cruel to him. He let a low but soft growl slip from his throat. He never liked seeing wolf to wolf violence. Wolves were not meant to harm each other, only for battling ranks. Why were other wolves driven by that... madness? 

She saw the other wolf in the distance! "Help please help me"she yelled out as her father clawed her face causing her to pass out for a while. Everything went black nothing could be heard just the ringing in her ears! 

He perked his ears to her plea, and slowly approached further. He sat back on his haunches and thrust himself forward, leaping at full force. He tackled the male and bit onto his scruff, then leapt on top of him and pinned him. Mallis knew he was bigger than this male, Mallis being overly large in weight, height, and length than normal males. He held the wolf secure for a few seconds. Mallis rarely spoke, since he never had true social skill development. He then let go of the large male and leapt off, again fleeing the scene. He wanted to be a ghost, that no one acknowledged. He didn't look back.

Once she woke her father was gone and she knew he helped her"hello are...are you still here"she asked. She wanted to think him for he didn't have to help her it was his choice..yes, she begged but most would've walked away without even acknowledged her cries for help! She walked deeper into the forest looking for a new home she knew she wouldn't be able to go back home! We need to find a place and then go hunting and stock up on food...and find a place close to a water source she thought. Walking deeper she found a cave and it seemed to be empty!

He ran far enough away where he could only here the faint noises of birds chirping and woodpeckers high up in trees. He climbed up a slanted tree. Near the top, there was the top of a small cliff. He leapt onto the cliff, pulling himself up. He walked in a tight circle a few times and then laid down, his eyes half shut.
