Elite show futurity thread.

Good day Everyone :D

I have worked up the basic Reg requirements for this club, but I would love all of your input, I would like this to be a fun club where we all strive for better and better horses, So i want the reg requirements to be a little higher then most.

Foundations:

must meet at least 3 of the following. 

Min Stats: 300

Min Confo: 55+

min non-spec stats 60 or less

50 first place shows or 100 total show placings. 

Lined Horses:

must meet at least 3 of the following.

Min stats: 500

min confo: 60+

min non-spec stats: 45

No non-spec stat over 25

At least 50 first place shows or 100 show placements 

Please feel free to add any suggestions or let me know what you all think.

Id also like to start looking for a mascot for the rest of this month, or we can leave my filly in that was a test horse to make sure everything was working.

What is meant by "min non-spec. stat"?

I'm assuming they mean "Max non-specialty stats 60 or less", so stats that arent in your horse's correct discipline requirements have to be 60 or less in total.

A maximum non-specialty stat requirement of 45 is essentially impossible for post-recode horses as horses' stats can no longer decrease.

Couldn't you breed the stats down? I know a lot of Rising Dawn's Fresians have all their non-spec stats in the single digits.

They're all pre-recode (lined) horses. From what I've seen, the breeding algorithm changed with the recode and it's no longer possible to breed them down. If you have a play with the foal stats calculator you can see what I mean.

Ah man. I was under the impression you could still breed down stats. Unfortunately the calculator doesn't work on my phone and I don't own a computer, but I looked at the formula and I can see how it wouldn't be mathematically possible to get a foal's birth stats lower than its parent's base stats, even if you never increased nonspec base stats over the parents' lifetimes. You'd have to find and bring into your line a few of the old-EV lined horses to bring the average down and down over generations.
