Base stats are different

Not sure whats going on about this but I recently noticed that the base stats on foals that were just born show a lower amount than its actual stats, like for example the overall stats would be 985 and I go down to base stats and it'll say that its 100 less. I dont know if its a bug, but like i said i just noticed this on newly foaled foals. this is even before i treated the foal.

This is not a bug, its actually supposed to be like that if I remember correctly. I'll have to find the post that explains it.

If you go to my page, its the one for sale still named new foal. i already treated it, it only bumped it up like 1 or 2. and remrem thatd be awesome if you could find that, i just started noticing it and i was like what the heck haha

it's not a bug. 
base stats and birth stats are not the same thing and they won't be the same (except for foundations) 

Do you happen to know why they are not the same?

I think base stats are the ones that will not be moved to fit the horses specialty if you convert it.
