foals ♥

just bred my first batch of foals, from my Morgan pairs, and I couldn't be happier. c:

while I'm still going to breed the pairs for a second and last time, I'm super happy with the first crop and can't wait for the second one. all of the foals inherited at least one dilution from their sires, and all of their confos either stayed consistent or increased.

ah! I just love my foals. I love red dun and grullo, both of which I got two of, and I got a cute smoky black dun. though, honestly, I love all the available colors. even better, I got an even amount of genders- four stallions and four mares. and out of them all, both Imaginary Adventures and Graffiti Walls broke 60 average confo. 

anyway, I just felt like sharing. feel free to share your own ev horse or foal related stories.

edit: because I forgot- I was scrolling through the genos of my foals, when I noticed some carried flaxen. which surprised me, because I didn't think any of my Morgans carried the gene, and made me look back at the genos of their parents. which was when I discovered that five of my Morgan foundie mares carried the flaxen gene and that every single one had passed the gene onto their foal! what are the chances?
